Tier 1 and Tier 2 using pbn

What is he saying?
- Tier 1 should exist of guestblogposts on domains you don't control, and then
- Tier 2 should be your pbn?

Or did I misunderstand this?

Can someone here explain the very best way to take advantage of tier 1 and then tier 2, and possibly tier 3 using a Pbn?

He talks about buying PBN links, using services. Not your own network.

Linking from a purchased pbn link to a guestblog - is that really going to do any good? I've never tried.

Tiering it up like that can be safer than pointing all guest posts and PBN links straight at your site. Especially if you are dealing with publicly sold blog posts. Most of the links juice should still pass through and your guest posts can become pretty powerful.

That really is an interesting thought, but for the long run - say you spend your money and time for something that are meant to last long. You would be stuck with factors you don't control at all.
An ecommerce is usually something that should work years ahead.

1. Network can get deindexed for the purchased pbn links
2. Blog can be deindexed.
3. Blog can be shut down
4. Blog owner can suddenly do some funny things, e.g. 301 redirect whatever - install a plugin, get hacked or something else..
Boom - link juice is long gone.

I assume a guestblog would need quite a few pbn links to rank at all, to be able to pass the juice to your moneysite.

But I wasn't here to question matthewwoodward, I originally just did not understand what he mean. But I do now.

I think the most important thing is you have some 'control' over the link... if you are PBN'ing into someone else's site you could lose a lot of hard work.

I'm watching this space heavily so I'll bring back more info.

There is no fixed rule, the "should be" would better read "can be". What he means is, tier 1s should be on third party authoritative domains and tier 2s your own domains etc.
