Thumbnails for Autoblog !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    i have Wp robot installed on my blog to grab Rss feeds ,it has got images but timthumb is not grabbing those external images to use as Thumnails ,is there any way to autosave all images to my server .

    Simple = > How to Auto save External images showing in post to use for thumbnails??

    I also would like to know how I can save flickr images that are sent via wprobot.

    I also tried timthumb, but it doesn't allow external images, so I went for phpThumb (hxxp://phpthumb.sourceforge.net/) for thumbnails

    not shure if wprobot can do it, i am using autoblogged for it:

    using autoblogged you can assing "custom code" fields like this:
    "Custom Field" insert: "thumbnail"
    "Custom Field Value" insert: "%thumbnail_url%"

    this brings the thumbnail image from the feed in that custm field so a theme can use it.

    This is also possible from within wprobot, but our goal is to download/save the picture to our domains so that we don't need to hotlink and we don't get broken images when the picture is removed from the remote server.
    This makes it alot easier to process the image through GD

    Make sure you set the permissions on the cache folder for timthumb to 777 (with chmod)

    And here is the code for thimtumb that does allow external images.

    But my Hostgator donot allow 777 , will it work without changing permsions!!

    At the end i forced to leave Wp and start using Autoblogged as it has got option to save external images and it has solved my thumbnail problem , but another problem starts , is there any way to remove feed links from the post !!!!!!
