Hi, I just tested for using VPS service for the first time for my scrapebox and senukex. I choose ThrustVPS a.k.a DamnVPS, i buy the emerald package 1.5GB RAM, 45GB Disk Space, 2TB Transfer, 1 IP, UK or US. I just read here and some other forum that their service is excellent and their price is good. But, what I experienced for 2 weeks is I always have difficulty to login. When I send a ticket to their support, one of their customer service is always answer me back & forth without clear explanation, but the other is say that they have DDOS attack recently, everything will be fixed and OK. Whenever, everything is fixed, my VPS got reboot & I have to start my previous process (scrapebox & senukex) AGAIN.

But today, after how many times, the annoying thing happen again. I can't login and when I send the ticket, they reboot my VPS and yes all the ongoing process is killed.

Just want to know if there's anyone have same experienced like me. What other VPS do you recommend for using scrapebox & senukex? I'm planning to move to other next month.

i've used thrustvps 6 for months and never had any problem with them :(

Make sure that your software doesn't make the VPS hang. How many instances do you run at one? From time to time check your free memory.

Yeah, I know lots of people recommend it. The team support offer to reset my VPS from the beginning, so I'm backing up my data. Let's see the problem after resetting it.

I run 6 instances + senukex. I've never checked the free memory. I'll checked, thanks for the advice. How many percent should be the free memory suggested?

Ouch! Just two Scrapeboxes could eat 1GB of memory - it depends on the lists that you're scraping.

It's almost definitely due to your machine being overloaded. Keep an eye on your available resources all the time, especially if you are trying to run multiple instances/applications. Open the Task Manager and select the Performance tab to watch your CPU/RAM.

To get to the Task Manager in RDP:
Start -> Windows Security -> Task Manager
or
CTRL-ALT-END
or
Start -> type in 'Task Manager' (Windows 7/2008)

While RDP really doesn't use much resources (the whole point of RDP) and configuring the settings can cut down the amount of resources used (disable sound, tone down the color [I use 16-bit - we're not watching high-def movies here], disable visual effects [huge!]).. RDP still uses some resources and if your machine is already struggling to complete the processes it's working on, any new tasks are going to take a while to start. By the time it does, your RDP client has probably already timed out or you're given a black screen.

To be honest, 6 instances of ScrapeBox plus SENuke X is quite a lot to expect out of 1.5GB RAM unless you have set all connections/threads extremely low. Just like everything else, start out with 1 instance, see how much resources it uses.. If you can support another instance, do it. Keep an eye on the resources. If you can support another instance, do it. But if you just instantly overload your resources with a ton of instances of different programs, it's probably going to crash.

Then your machine has to be rebooted because it's not even responding for them.. Restoring connection problems is easy and fast, but if the machine can't even be opened at the server it's running on, not much can be done. If you absolutely must run 6 copies of SB and SENuke X, consider upgrading.. Usually a VPS with 1GB~ RAM is not meant for things like huge SB campaigns running 600 connections.

They are many vps servers online but i am using berman hosting. They are professional and have great support. You will get set up in 30 mins.

meatro: thanks for the advice. Today, I can't login my VPS and the team support has reboot it. I admit that I don't pay attention to the performance of my VPS. Yesterday, I'm running 3 VPS, one with 2 million fast poster, and others about 20k fast poster. I see your signature about blackcatvps, how you recommend them? If I take the novice starter, do you think I can run 6 instances?

isynergy media: what VPS do you recommend me? I see in the loopline tutorial of VPS, he recommend scrapeVPS & wooservers. Is it good enough?

Starter will not run 6 instances, but Novice should.

What kind of system requirement do you have and are you just going to run scrapebox and senuke? You can go with Poweruphosting, 1000 Mbps ports and Unlimited Bandwidth with 100% uptime guarantee. Checkout the link in the signature.
