Throttles and Site Traffic

Noticing after some nice honest backlinks and traffic shot up 150% apparently it was too much for the site to get a semi-reasonable amount of organic traffic so now I am seeing throttles pulling my traffic back down like some type of chanel range throttle filter...higher than prior to the backlinks but some sort of attempt to rein in the traffic back to the semi "shitty range"...as if the powers that be don't want to see someone new actually do well.

FYI, this is not a discussion if throttles do or do not exist if you don't think so, there is some delicious yellow snow you munch on as well
