Thrive Vs Newspaper Theme / Vbulletin

Actually, i am scouting around to decide which theme to buy- between Thrive and Newspaper 8

I am using it for sports news blogging. Entry level and not really into coding. Anyone have some opinions or suggestions?

On the other hand, i like to ask is it a must to buy Vbulletin for forum or is there any free version cos the license version is like $250 usd?.

Any suggestions are welcome - Note that i actually like vbulletin style, bbpress looks abit... er..er..

Newspaper is great and you can try bbpress.
It is also a good alternative!!

I use newspaper and its great so multifunctional and easy to use

Is newspaper user-friendly or any known issues i should be careful? I mean does it require intensive coding for everything as i am pretty noobish to codes... I went through the demo and i really like it. The support was pretty decent too actually.

BBPress... still considering... just don't like the interface.

nah you can get by very easily without any coding
it has a very easy interface and lots of tuts
also tons of demo imports

Newspaper is best
