Threshold limits for Google Ads and Twitter Ads?

Does anyone know if Google Ads and Twitter Ads still have threshold limits before they start billing? Like the old days when you could run campaigns and get a few hundred worth of traffic before paying. Curious if this still works in 2025.

Google still has billing thresholds but it depends on account history, country, and spend pattern.
 
Twitter (X) ads usually ask for upfront card billing now, less leeway compared to Google.
 
Those old billing thresholds are basically gone, now they charge almost immediately once you hit the set daily limit.

Nope, both Google and Twitter bill pretty much in real-time now, no more “run first, pay later.”
 
You can’t exploit old thresholds anymore; your card gets charged as soon as you hit the daily cap.
 
Only way around is preloaded balance on some platforms, but standard accounts charge instantly.

They still bill on a threshold basis, once you hit your set limit they charge automatically.

threshold accounts still work but they’re much harder now. google usually starts you at $50 and x is similar, but they both shadowban or suspend new accounts instantly if the payment method or proxy looks fishy. most people on bhw are just buying aged accounts with history to get those higher limits.
