Such a stupid news did not result in today's 6% crash.
The 6% dump is the usual whales price manipulation activity.
Bitcoin price is totally in the hands of the big whales. The exchanges and the big whales work hand-in-hand.
When leveraged trades get liquidated, the exchanges make huge profits and these profits are shared (by the exchanges) with the big whales.
Tether prints billions of USDT (for free, out of thin air) regularly and sells all this USDT (regularly) to the exchanges & big whales at high discounts. So, then the exchanges and the big whales utilize this very cheaply acquired USDT, on a regular basis to manipulate Bitcoin price, in order to continiously liquidate both long trades and short trades.
So, as usual the whales pumped up the price of Bitcoin over the last around 1 week, laid a nice usual trap, many traders got excited as usual and long trades Bitcoin (as usual with good leverage) and then the whales played their usual game, as it always happens.
When it comes to some news affecting the price of Bitcoin, it is usually some govt, regulatory, etc news that may sometimes affect Bitcoin price momentarily. But, this type of stupid minor irrelevant news of some Tom, Dick or Harry on some Telegram channel has not and never does affect the price of Bitcoin.
90% and more of human beings do not accept the reality and that is why of those who trade crypto likewise, 90% of crypto traders lose money. The remaining 10% who accept reality are making money in crypto trading.
Another example, I remember some fool, around a month ago was mentioning that Namecheap hosting is at risk due to Ukraine war. Then some education and reality had to be infused by explaining that Namecheap's servers and hostings are ONLY located in ONLY 3 countries : US, UK & The Netherlands and hence the Ukraine war has not and will not affect Namecheap's domains, hostings and servers in any way at all whatsoever.
Quite often some people (very few) are incapable of even having a basic understanding of things, incapable of even doing a basic Google based research.
