Threads - Picture posts vs captions

Hello,

i´ve built and tried everything now. Pages with picture posts, spam pages, only caption pages.

What are yalls experiences? For me personally pictures feel like they can do the same as caption only depending on if you know what you are doing. I feel like the MOST important thing is your funnel. I´ve seen that a simple link in bio doesnt really bringt you the numbers in. With pictures getting way more comments and feedback and also followers they still seem like they dont funnel better then captions if your main page isnt setup properly and you only have a link in bio.

Am i the only one that felt that? What way are yall using to funnel the absolute maximum out of your pages?

Pictures get more engagement, but without a strong funnel and clear next step, captions or images won’t drive real results.

From what I’ve seen, pics vs captions don’t matter that much anymore. Both can work if the **account + funnel** are set up right. I agree that link in bio alone is weak. What moves numbers more is replies, pinned comments, and guiding people step by step instead of sending them straight off-platform. Funnel > post format right now.

Yeah same thing here. Ive seen accounts with over 500k views in last 7 days but with only 1k clicks if they have link in bio only. It seems like you really need to punch it in the users face to get a real usable cvr

You’re not alone. Pictures help with engagement (comments/follows), but funneling mostly depends on profile + CTA, not post type. Captions vs images perform similarly if intent is clear. What really works is a strong pinned post, clear bio value prop, and DM/keyword funnels instead of just a link in bio.

Content type matters less than having a clear funnel pictures can get engagement, but if your bio, landing page or CTA isn’t strong, it wont convert. Focus on optimizing where people go next not just the post itself.

Look into sending a DM on threads. Many agencies send Direct Messages on threads since that will help get good exposure.

You’re not alone. On Threads, funnel > format. Pics get more comments and visibility, captions can convert just as well but if the profile + funnel aren’t tight, neither will perform. Link in bio alone is weak.
