I am not getting this at all personally. Thing is going to be pretty much app exclusive on phones. Like what reddit did - make the app practically unusable on mobile browsers so be people stay on the app, but probably even worse.

Hyping this up will will not be in the best interest of digital marketing and the greater web

It's basically a ripped-off of twitter so I think nothing is new for people to be unfamiliar with. It's a matter of time before it overrun twitter's popularity.
