Thread Bumping......

I seem to have bumped into two threads in about two days without knowing the implication somehow.

My intention in making those post was in continuation of the line of thought.

I don't when the "Bump" rule came into place in the first as I am pretty new here and only starting getting involved in issues that I need assistance in.

Dude did you also notice the date differential between post #7 from @dor@tehexploa and the response that followed by @mpulse in post #8.

Give some people time to follow the ropes eehhh.

We are all learning dude...

So, I would appreciate knowing the time difference between when the last post on a thread was made and when I am allowed to post to it.

What thread are you talking about? You’d need to give us more than your discontent/disappointment if you want any help.

I would have asked the mods to give a one week ban to such posters but then again I know mods are kind and wouldn’t do that but if yiu got a warning that’s nice now you have learnt a valuable lesson the hard way

My thought was because I was refering to the Nmap and ProxyFire tools... I guest my thoughts were wrong them. Kindly move to relevant thread that seems fit.

Then again..

The issue of timing is exactly where I'm going to...

Between post #7 and post #8 is a period of over 8 (eight) years.

Logically, my posting to it therefor after just 3 (three) years seemed ok to me.

Thus the reason for my question... what exactly counts as old? What are the exact timings for this classification... I'm learning.

Thread bumping is really a marketplace consideration as it doesn't really happen elsewhere.

Members found to be bumping their thread (deleting a post and then reposting it AND / OR placing consecutive posts within a 72 hour period) will receive a 1 month ban and their Marketplace thread(s) will be removed.

What you cannot do and how to get around it:

1. Promote your Sales thread more than once every 72 hours, this includes putting an advert or coupon style text underneath your response to a question or responding to an order confirmation.

In short you can not promote in any way your Sales Thread more than once every 72 hours.

2. You must not respond to individual order confirmations, try and group the responses together in one post or at the end of each day.

3. The same as 2 for answering questions, try and group as many as you can in one response. If you are seen to be responding to individual questions a lot in one day this will be seen as Bumping. You can avoid this by sending a PM to the customer who asked the question and then at the end of the day publicly respond to all the questions in one response.

4. Do not respond with "Thank You" use the thank you button for this.
