Thougts on GPT4o?

what are ur thoughts on GPT4o model? very curious, as i see that a lot of improvement, specially on voicetalk.. which i guess will be ued for AI influencer business...

I a really solid updated, looks really funny and the voice update uff, siri you are outdated now so far the cconversations seems real back and for no delays and the image description, that is the kind of updated that are good but on paper looks good let's see the flaws later on but really want to test a lot just for fun

I'm looking forward to my next animation. I just got all the backgrounds I needed for the one I'm working on before the update. Bummer. So I won't be sure till next month, when I start afresh, as usually, I have to get 20-35 backgrounds HD images, plus clipart and sprite sheets, and do some heavy re-loading.

Hmm it's nothing special it's as Jensen Huang puts it " a modality grounded model", openai needs the model accessing as much information and the internet is done, they need to push their model dynamically and that needs it exploring the world(because it doesn't need reasoning or learning like self driving cars that are no where near level 5 or 3 in level of intelligence, but definitely above cruise control)but openai needs dynamic information and allowing people access it via their phones helps accelerate cultures, behaviour, people, it's the next stage to supercharge the next evolution on ai connecting outside the chat box.

It will normalise biometric facial recognition in 5 or so years, right now people would scream at it, but I suspect openai would block faces and give it push by request not listen by demand.

But the retrieval based information from 1 billion people will supercharge it and it'll be free for open ai due to you freely agreeing to to terms naively.

Think about it, openai entire business model is collecting information, without it's nothing, if openai hired 50,000 people to go out and explore the world for the llm model to gradually grow Google would have left openai for dead.


Openai has made a strategic strategy getting this next stage of ai out, but for free while removing openai from legalitys on copyright clauses, and more people onboard within less then 5 months will allow openai bring out chatgpt5 under Nvidias Blackwell h200.

Really solid updated, it looks funny that Samsung showed a phone with real time translation (which doesn't work properly) and GPT4o released a better feature so also for free

It's nothing mind blowing. Just literally gpt4 but faster for now.

That's ignoring all the vision and speech capabilities, but we'll get there when those are released. After googles demo, I don't want to trust openai that fast.

Been playing around with gpt4o since yesterday (I'm a plus member) and like I said, literally cannot tell the difference between it and gpt4 from the finished prompt. Just that gpt4o is about 2x faster but that doesn't matter to me, the quality is the same.

Its actually amazing how fast they improved their models compared to a very few years ago. Back in 2021 everyone on here was talking about how amazing Conversion.ai / Jasper is and how easy it is to generate text. Now look how far we came just 3 years later. I am wondering where we will be in 3 years.

What pisses me off is that none of the smart home companies (Google & Amazon/Alexa) have pivoted to using AI to power responses.

Imagine your alexa/google home with the ability to leverage OpenAI or Bard to give real-time results based on an actual understanding of the query, rather than just voice commands or results from search.

GPT-4o is awesome. I've seen the news, especially about voice. This could be huge for AI influencers with more natural-sounding voices. It's early days, but opens doors for realistic AI characters. I wonder how this plays out with influencers - powerful content creation tool, but transparency is key.

I totally loved the latest version. It's much more faster and accurate.
