As the title says: what's everybody's thoughts on outreach for niche edits and guest posts?

Any hints on things that work for you?
Rough ideas of success rate?
Or do you rate a completely different tactic for link building?

Personally for my latest site I've cold emailed maybe 10 people, contacted another five through contact forms. One email response (although that was from somebody I'd worked with before) and I netted one niche edit from someone who had one random article about my topic. Time will tell how useful the links are as the site is still new.

1 - You need to be consistent: contacting 10 ppl per week and doing follow-ups (2 to 3).

2 - You can make connections between website niche and yours.
For example, if you have an eCommerce and you contact an SEO platform: You can propose them: "SEO guide for eCommerce websites"

3 - Success rate depends on the quality of your articles and niche of course.
Don't contact DA70/80+... as everyone is doing it. Wait and increase your brand awareness first.

Outreach is all about being upfront in your very first message. I never got any replies when I didn't include how much I wanted to pay.

You know, I'm so cheap, it's never occurred to me to pay. I've only ever searched for site:xxx.com inurl:"Write for us!"

If I can ask how much do you pay? You must obviously make it back otherwise you wouldn't bother.

What I've always done is look at what providers in the marketplace sell them for and then offer a little bit less in my outreach. Regardless, you'll still get plenty of webmasters that ignore you or never see your email, but money talks. Other than that, I offer 1/3 the price for just an edit. You could also get picky with pricing based on how many outgoing links there are on the page, but it's not worth my time.

Sent 25 emails the other day, got 3 responses. 1 said no and 2 provided a price. At this point, I am trying to build my site strictly on content and hope to leverage that for writing high quality guests posts. Hopefully this strategy leads to more "free" opportunities for big time niche sites. Most of the sites will charge you or just decline your outreach if you are knowingly an affiliate site.

Try and use ahrefs and target more better Leads, there’re some templates here search them and use it

You should talk in numbers 10, 50 times higher.
