How does your guys traffic compare to the traffic you get from desktop/mobile FB ads?

I find the audience network sends cheaper clicks, but I don't know how high quality they are.

It's cheaper yeah, test awhile ago for 1 of my projects and quality of traffic was low. However, I'd recommend you to test anything you can as long as your budget allows it.

I know people are using FB Audience network for training the fb pixel, since its cheap traffic (and low quality), you can still gather pixel data and in that way you (FB actually) will optimize your campaign faster (if you're running with purchase pixel).

So, my suggestion is that you should focus on Audience network at the beginning of your campaign, only when you're training your pixel...
After you gather 50-100 fired pixels, then I would stop running traffic there.

Np ;) You can look at Audience Network as it would be Native network like Taboola or Revcontent..
Low quality traffic and mostly cheap traffic, but those clicks (people) will still be tracked on FB and it will allow you to build good LLA lists,
and with that you will get campaigns up and optimized faster..

Let me know how it went ;)

works like a charm m8, appreciate the advice. It cost i think 11-18 cents per click, got 100 in <8$, smoothed out the process by a lot, i flipped my shit when i saw an audience network ad to cart, but when i watched the replay, it was a miss-click/bot. anyway, results are great so far, consistent sales already, i'll be doing this every time.

You can go lower than 11cents per click ;) And then the magic happens haha
Btw what are you trying to promote on FB Audience Network?

i probably could huh. i'm dropshipping aliexpress products. I didn't get any sales on Audience Network, it was just to build the pixel as you said, i turned it off after 100 clicks. Have you got much experience on ecommerce? specifically, how do people transition from view content, to add to cart to purchase in WC? my view content objective performs much better than my add to cart atm, not sure if i don't have enough data?

I don't understand why you did that :) You can't train your pixel with only 100 clicks. And you said you're using view content objective?

That means that you are telling facebook "Hey, I want only people that will read and scroll up and down on my content, I don't need buyers, I need only those that will click on my ad and view what I have to offer" :) ....
You should place your pixel on Add-to-Cart, so it would be "purchase pixel" and not "view content pixel" ...
And after you get like 50-100 triggered pixels then you can expect from Facebook that he will optimize your campaign :)

I hope you understand what i'm trying to say here :)

hey mate, having issues with the process. I kept a VC ad running, and i'm getting say, 5-8 atc from it per $10. And i have started an ATC objective as well, & after a day i got 2 atc for 10$. My total atc pixel fires are 38 since the campaign, i'm not sure what to do? Will the ATC perform better after i get 50-100?

some people say that you need 50 fired pixels and some say that it takes well over 100 fired pixels....
More traffic you push, better the optimization will be..

    And don't forget LLA also..

I'm sold on only running the purchase objective. It's been picking up speed for the past couple days, might be too early to tel though. Going to stick out the wait, thanks for the help. Definitely never going to waste my time on VC and the like. And i'm not even sure running a non-set objective counts towards another objective optimisation. As in, the spill-over effect of the VC objective over to ATC doesn't count towards the ATC objective.
