What's everyone's experiences with Niche Edits?

I've used several different providers and multiple different types of packages and the results have always been disappointing. In the past 12 months, I've probably spent over $4,000 on niche edits with not much to show for it.
Guest posts, on the other hand, have nearly always resulted in a positive movement.

Perhaps I'm using them in the wrong way, so I'm interested in everyone else's experiences.

Are those niche edits are permanent placement?
Are those niche edit domains have any traffic?
Are you sure those domains are not having any spammy backlinks history?

If your answer is yes, for all questions, Then, There should be positive results in SERP.

Niche edit is one of recommended link building strategies, It gives you authority and relevance signal to Google.
Improve your on-page strategies, Post fresh content regularly, use social media signals to bring visitors, get few guest posts as well. Depends upon the keyword your ranking may take time. Don't lose hope. You are on the perfect path.

What type of anchors do you use.??

It depends on what I'm linking to. Generally, branded or branded + keywords, or LSI. For example:
domain.com's in-depth review on the top-performing electric bikes

Yes on all accounts. I've actually seen posts performance go down even with very safe anchor branded only anchor text.

I'm just not convinced that Niche edits work well. If anyone has ranked successfully with them I'd love to know.

Niche edits work very well, like PBNs do , like guest posts do etc.

But if you're buying cheap crap, then you'll not get the results you're expecting.
Nah, not cheap cr*p. I've used your services, Medium package. I've also used Rhino Rank, which I think is on par on terms of quality as well as DFYlinks.

None of those are cheap cr*p.

I wasn't meaning you, it was a general comment. Same as the one I post herd yesterday here; https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/is-there-any-high-quality-seo-package-in-bhw.1206508/#post-12939738

Provided you're ordering on a regular basis then you'll get good results from good seo links. Sadly some people think buying once is the answer, or they have a crazy low budget to try to operate in a super competitive niche.

How good is your domain? I mean are you sure you haven't sent crap links to it in your early days.?

Currently 120k page views a month. The rest of the backlinks are fine, nothing spammy.

It has helped me, the problem with seo is that there is almost never a black and white answer. With so many moving parts it difficult to base it on a single question. If something doesn't seem to work, it could be due to something else. Keep testing.

Niche edit is a marketing term. To Google, a niche edit is simply a new link on an existing page. New links are added to existing content all the time for legitimate reasons (and have been since the start of the Internet), so a properly outreached niche edit on an active site is unlikely to raise flags.

Of course, the change has to be crawled and then reindexed to pass juice, so you need to make sure the pages you've links from are indexed.

Its more likely that in buying links, you've changed your link profile in some way that looks unnatural. If you've bought $4,000 of niche edits, then you've probably bought about 40 links. Are they distributed throughout your site, so that no single page receives more than a couple of links, or are they concentrated on a few pages? If concentrated, what is the link profile of those pages like? And at a domain level, how do the links change the profile? What was your percentage of URL and brand before, and what is it now? What is the total RD of the website?

I would count "domain.com's in-depth review on the top-performing electric bikes" as partial brand. "domain" and "domain.com" are brand.

Without looking at your site, BHW members can only guess. But your problem is likely to be connected with how you've created your link profile, not the links you've created it with.

Competition is high??
Not massively. It's based in the travel niche. I rank for longtails easily enough with Zero links, but targeted money keywords are a bit of a struggle for some reason. The competition is fairly basic, some expired repurposed domains are absolutely crushing it without any additional link building.

That's possible.

I have checked google's cache for several of the niche edits and they are indexed in that sense.

The links are distributed well around the website. I have over 400 pages and about 1.6 million words of content, so I can't realistically link to all posts. But I have a ton of natural links as well, most pages tend to have at least one link picked up from random internet things.

I have picked up several links through HARO from some massive websites which are all to the home page.

The bought niche edits are across multiple pages and to the home page. I don't think any one post has more than 5 or so niche edits.

$4k and no results that’s really bad whenever I have brought or received niche edits as review copies I have seen good results, are you targeting an easy keywords? If yes then with one niche edit build a guest post too, use different long tail keywords and power both with Pbns that should work for you

Given what you say, it could be something other than links.

Have you considered that your competitors might have "better" sites? For example, what is their user engagement like for pages returned for money keywords versus yours?

Google looks at intent in keywords. It might be that the task completion rate for your competitors sites is higher than yours. Their task to complete might be to request an email for more information. Yours might be to sell a high priced service. You would expect more people to be willing to sign up for more information than to buy there and then.

Either your niche is hard.
Either your site it`s not optimized as per delivery, cache, on-page, and content.
Either your site it`s new, in your case it`s not.

Instead of looking for UR and DR look for RD and traffic.

To be honest it`s pretty sad, with that money you could buy a social account and drive traffic from it.

Niche isn't hard.
Engagement is decent, average time on page is over 5 mins.
I'm not saying I haven't had success. The site produces over $6,000 a month, so $4,000 over the last 6 months isn't a massive deal. I'm just not seeing the results I was expecting. Guest post seem to deliver much better results.

So you spent $4k on niche edits on services offered here or out of this forum?

80% of the service SEO service providers on here are selling crap.

The other 20% are selling something decent, but even then - its down to luck with Google.

Best thing you can do is learn how to make money from PPC traffic so you can generate traffic TODAY, not 2-3 months from now.... if you're lucky.
