Don't pay for "Guru" videos. Basically all this information is already around you, for free, and nobody would give away their real money-making method just like that.

People who believe they can become millionaires in a single click after watching a video are plain gullible.

If there's one thing we should all take from this thread, it's that you should form alliances with movers & shakers in your market... I'm doing this right now.

networking is a major factor to success since it shows you areas that you may never find on your own. i recently discovered a biz-opp after someone asked me a question.

previously i never knew this area existed, but when done properly it generates tens of thousands of dollars very quickly. it showed me that you can earn serious money as a middleman who hooks people (buyers - sellers) up.

hype is a hell of a drug

these guys will get whats coming to them.. all those people getting scammed for millions of dollars.. the things I would do to someone if they scammed me for $5,000

$2k for phone lessons.. yea until someone traces them or finds them at a convention & follows them home. I bet they wouldn't be laughing then even if they are packin.. the element of suprise is a wonderful thing

What people here share from their personal experiences and trial and error is worth a thousand times the "info" these two are selling, and is also free.

I agree 100% -- but the sad truth is that most would-be IMers only figure this out after getting hustled by one of the members of "The Syndicate" or some analogous opportunist.

Their material will always be promoted many times over compared to free resources simply because there's a $ amount attached. That's just the nature of things.

Yeap. People tend to thing the more expensive something is, the more useful it is, even when they see it doesn't work for them.

That's why one of the "gurus" said he had very few refunds when he marketed his previous course for $5000 compared to when he marketed it for $500 and this is why they agreed on a $2500 price for their new video.

If you want to be successful, learn how to sell first. Ive been part of the Cobragroup network some years ago doing direct-marketing. (Door to door sales) Basically these are the same techniques being used by what you call the "gurus". They convey these techniques through video. On the internet everything is about quality reach and persistance. The only "gurus" that you should pay attention to are those who get you in the right mindset. Study WHAT they do, not HOW they do it.. Find that hungry crowd and sell something of real value, no scam. This way your customers will return to you and you will build a steady relationship with them for years to come. Build trust. It's the most powerful way but again, persistance is key. Also I'd suggest that you study the old-skool ways of marketing. Copywriting, Direct marketing. People like Bencivenga are great mentors because they pioneered steady systems that work within every niche.

Only listened a few minutes into the second video but all I hear are some guys discussing how to improve their bottom line and some of the elements of their marketing campaign... which seem, from my limited listen, extremely normal and mundane. What do you want--for them to dumb down their marketing and not try to maximize profits?

This is marketing 101 stuff. I'm more shocked that anyone here finds this video shocking than at the video itself.
