I recently discovered that you could use the new iPhone X's "Animoji" feature as a face cam. If you're camera shy and want to hide your identity, you could use this as an alternative!

With this, you can easily make your Animoji look like yourself, or you can be an animal. I've been using this in my YouTube videos for a while now, and it's worked like a charm!

An example of someone who uses this is a famous YouTuber named Thinknoodles. Check him out.

I prefer Adobe Character Animator, comes with the full apps package of Adobe CC. Cheap if you can get a student email address.

slugshead, does that Adobe Character Animator have a steep learning curve or can a newbie put somthing together following a guide?

Bit of both to be honest, if you're used to vector images in illustrator and understand a bit of premiere/after effects you'll be ahead. But there's load of great templates to start from
