"This site may harm your computer" <--- how to remove?

If you havent fixed it yet.......


1 Get the site in webmaster tools verfy etc.
2 remove all malware and virus stuff on the site
3 go to scuri and 2x check all is removed
4 go back to webmaster tools and under health. There is a button for goog to chk the site again
5 goog removes the notification.

Hope this helps i had to do that for alot of sites last year. I dont think it changed any since then.

Well gee, do you feel important now? After all, a whole bunch of other people already posted that before you and you STILL didn't address the actual question.

What exactly causes this to happen to a site? Were you guys hosting bad files or what exactly?

Got hacked.

I once had a website hosted on a free dropbox and that caused Google to flag my site as it may harm blahblah, sometimes your hosting could be the problem, just sayin'.

last week i had the same problem with 3 of mysite, it was a code injection to my site and i got message in webmaster tools . and when i go to the site form search i got the google message , What i did was i removed the entire site . and restored the back up from that i was having in the on my pc and asked for reconsideration form the webmaster tools. you could find that under malware section in webmaster tool . but you have to remove the bad malware code form your site then apply. and it will the block will be removed with in 24hr or less . when the when you uplod the it form your pc make sure you scan it for any virus, ask the hosting company to remove suspicious stuff form your account. i just asked then to completely wipe my root directory and make it fresh and i had page that was upto date that the backup i was having what i did was one the the ban is removed i went searched for the site in google and viewed the cache page and copied the content and updated my site. your anti virus will alert you when you see the cache page . hope this helps
