Anyone know how to get fucking Google to remove that crap, once the hack is gone, without going via Google Webmaster Tools?

As far as I know, you will have to go through Webmaster Tools - there's no other option. Google has started to route the links generated by search queries through their own systems, which means that Google has the chance to warn users if they think that a specific site might cause problems.

You will have to temporally make a GWT account if you don't have one I don't think there are any other ways to remove it.

G WMT is the only way I'm aware of.
Had it happen once or twice.
Luckily I have my main sites have several backups both held by the domain provider and downloaded as .tar files. As it was a CMS last time it meant a new Mysql database - the works. but with the backup I was up and running again in 90 minutes.

It's worth having a GWMT account, use a crappy old mobile number to set it up, use a friends phone, anything - you'll never need it again.
Add your site, flag it as clean and ready for review. The all clear is pretty quick (never waited more than 36 hours)
Minecraft forums and WIKI had this warning yesterday, clean today (yes I like minecraft)

Scritty

You need to go through WMT because it requires a manual review to remove. This is usually completed within a 24-48 hour period. I'd do it ASAP to maintain ranking and lower risk of slipping down the page(s). I've had unattended domains slip down 30 pages as a result of not removing it immediately, though they recovered within 2-3 weeks.

Hope this helps.

Don't know about it dude. But I get this all the time. I heard that its due to the Firefox linked with some review sites. In that site if you have bad rating then FF will block your site form the visitors.

It happened to me once, or twice.

Basically, it removed itself after 2 weeks without doing anything with GWT.

I had this on two different sites and one I removed the problem files, it took about 4 days to remove the warning without going through GWT. To improve the speed of the second one I got a few new links to a few pages on the effect site to get Googlebot to recrawl the site.

Thanks, appreciate it!

I don't think it will get removed by itself now. You do have to go to Webmaster Tools and submit for review. Had this problem 2 weeks ago, and you should do it A.S.A.P. Don't let crawlers and robot get used to it. :)

Work is for chumps.

A few days ago, less than 10 days, the same issue, and I added it to a new WMT account, and removed the "bad files", 1 day later, the message gone, but about 1 or 2 days after that, my ranking dropped, all -50 I think:(

Right, this is why I don't wanna fuck around with WMT. They review the site if it's clean, but they review everything else about it too. Which could land you a fucking manual penalty...

I had this 3 days back. I found this is because of Ads script which I was using on my site. I removed ads and informed CPC company also i requested to Google using Google Webmaster, with in 2 hrs they removed the warning "This site may harm your computer" now my site is working fine. I am now waiting for CPC company response.

How the fuck does this help me? Reading is fundamental...
