    Hey friends I came with an idea may be it is right or wrong..
    I see these days big BHW members and small BHW members giving away thier services for free{free give away}
    I can see few members grabbing that all the time...I don't abuse them..{personally i don't need them i earn enough}
    Just feeling bad for noobs and new learners... I see people earn a lot ..but still grabbing free give away all the time..I have a noted members who grab that..really it is a bad tendency just sitting and waiting for free give aways ..or if a user posts some thing in hire a freelancer thread ..they offer very cheap or damn cheap price then others so that can competate..it is not an healthy competation...

    Pofigy, the thing is, the whole purpose for some of these giveaways is to pull in potential customers. I use the giveaways as a preview of the service offered and have followed up multiple times with additional purchases.

    I think you're just mad because you've never won any giveaways. Stop Whining.

    I think what he means is that established members who (supposedly) make a lot of money jump in quickly to all these giveaways and the noobs who would really benefit from the free stuff they could get (and can't afford to buy) are left on the outside. I agree with him.

    Why should a newbie who registered 10 days ago who is probable just leeching or doesn't contribute receive a premium service instead of a registered member who is probably a donor so he contributed to BHW as a site and helped out other members including newbies. I think if a giveaway is limited to 10 people then 6 reputable members and 4 registered members/newbies should receive it.

    Personally a lot of these free giveaways are BS and they never pull through, all they want are rep and thanks. I have personally been picked for giveaways, and have been one of the first few people to post many times. I can only remember maybe one or two of these 20 giveaways that pulled through.

    Like I see noobs with 20 posts saying that they are giving away BMD licenses and Yahoo answers accounts, getting tons of rep and thanks, and I guarantee that they are not pulling through.

    I'm one of the winners of one of those BMD license's. I can say that I now am the proud owner of a fully legit version of BMD 6 I was given full details of the purchase (i.e email, tran. number, last 4 of CC etc.) the woman had a very low post count.

    I think this is the way it supposed to work! Established members' recommendation is ofc more valuable to each potential seller. All you can say,big earners should show some mercy by leaving something on table for newbies. At best this can be a appeal to all established members!
    Anyway,a 20% quota system for newbies might help,if mods think so.

    I see where you're coming from OP. I know I participate in a lot of giveaways as I'm on all the time. The most recent one was something like 10k twitter followers. The thing is, now giveaways have come to be a "random" selection of 10 members or so. I know many people offer giveaways solely to give rep. Such as giving away 1k backlinks and saying they can't give reports. Then telling the 100 people they gave it to they got high PR backlinks and receiving rep for it. Now not all people do this. Heck not many do it, but it happens.

    I guess what I'm saying is since I'm on BHW a lot, I am around when the giveaway starts. I only get about 1/10 of the ones I put my name down for. I don't really care for it and could leave it for newbies, but I guess what it comes down to is greed. So I apologize.

    And going off of the people who do giveaways to presell BSTs. That's actually against the rules to my understanding, but since most people do that to test out a service, maybe a BST should start with the option of having a couple packages given away (I realize that review copies are given at a discounted price).

    Well now I realize that I've been talking for a couple minutes and haven't really said anything useful.

    Closing thought: If you want to win more giveaways, be on BHW more often.

    That is impressive, I have won giveaways for things of a lot less value and the OP never came through

    What a BS thread. Waste of time.

    You should stop making shitty threads like this and your previous threads as well.

    Thread reported.

    Did you ever think that the people here that talk a big game about making $5k a day are just full of shit? Most that talk a big game are just that, all talk. 99.9% of people making that much money aren't wasting their time with the kids here on bhw. The ones that do are just here for entertainment.

    I also have participated in some of those give aways. All I can say is that if I don't get what was promised I simply remove my thanks and also report the OP for misleading.

    Successful people use other people's money to make theirs. It's just good business. Unsuccessful people complain. Capitalism.

    Honestly, I was in shock when I woke up to the email, the thread that I actually "applied" for the contest was deleted and so I simply PM'd the OP. And to give her even more credit she had so few posts that she had one of the other winners PM me to tell me I won. I've had 2 other contest holders not come through though, honestly I think that some of the contests are just out there to get niches or ideas so I'm selective on which ones I join and her contest didn't require anything more than a simple post in the thread.

    Most people offering give aways or "giving back to BHW" are just trying to get something in return, taking advantage of noobs and "reputable" members.

    I supposedly won a free domain name, but a few days later, after I created a namecheap account the senior member decided I took too long and he gave it to someone else.

    Minimally, pretty low-class I think, but I didn't make an issue out of it because it is also low-class to create a stink over not getting something for free. I come from old stock, and we don't trust being given anything for free because there is no such thing; there is always a price tag. However, I did spend some time & energy thinking about what I would do with that new domain, and then when I was told that I wasn't getting it, the value of that time & energy was lost, so I had the distinct feeling of getting jerked around and also that "yucky" feeling one gets when doing a transaction with someone of low moral character. Lesson learned. Don't put too much energy into getting anything for free here, and don't expect to actually get it even when you are told it's going to happen.

    Not sure what the real angle is. My suspicion is that some people just LOVE to play the "Big Man on Campus" playing the role of the "Big Spender" throwing around the free stuff even when they haven't got it or do not really intend to give it away. It's like doing the "Dine & Dash" or shoplifting, it's a small thrill for a twisted personality, similar to how some deviants can get off to morbidly obese women. It's not criminal, it's not a serious mental illness, but it is yucky and it's best to stay away from people like that, else you might somehow get their "cooties" and become like them in some way. Maybe these are the same guys that practice "orgasm denial" idk, but I've read about people like that and frankly I think it's just wrong to treat a pet animal in this way, not even a dog deserves to be treated like that. But I guess that's a different topic, isn't it.
