Lol I posted something for sale on a classified site, and someone responded to me by text asking if they could pay extra and blah blah blah, but they would have to pay through paypal.... Sometimes people really do want to pay by paypal, so that is not unusual, but he asked me if I could "kindly send him my paypal email address". At this point I knew he was from another country, so I asked him "are you in the u.s.?" and he said he is in New Jersey. Now I knew he was lying! If he were in the u.s. then he would know that nobody in the u.s. uses the word "kindly". Anyways, I sent him my email address (knowing that he will send me a phishing email) and sure enough he did. Then sent me a text asking me to check my email for payment confirmation. I told him that I don't need to check my email since I am looking at my paypal and there is no money in it..... But he insisted I check my email lmao, so here is what I got. I guess he really thinks I'm that stupid lmao :D

So how should I mess with him? Any ideas? I'm usually pretty creative but my mind is blank at the moment and I don't want the fish to get away :D

Refuse to purchase the product, design the same letter which will be saying you refunded but write $5,500 not $550, than tell him you did it by mistake and ask to refund back via bank wire, because your pp suddenly got limited.

Profit - $4950.

to be honest the email looks relatively legit, wouldnt be surprised if many people fell for this.

Yeah, just say you refunded the payment you received (admit you got the payment lol).. and then make a mistake in the refund and send him that image.

He should be like:

Tell him you will sent it but only if he pays for the shipping costs, since nigeria costs a lot more then sending to the US.
Ask him for his UPS or FedEx account number so you can do the shipping on his account.


Now get a laaaarge and sturdy box.
Go to home depot and buy some heavy tiles, or fill some old water bottles with water or sand

Lol, I did it and then sent him a text.....

Me: I have refunded your payment but I accidentally sent $5500. Would you kindly send me back the extra $4950 as a personal gift payment?

Scammer: How do I do that?

Me: Go to your paypal account and go to send money, then send it to my email address as a personal payment, and check the box that says "gift"

I didn't hear anything for a couple of minutes so I sent him another text.....

Me: I had to refund because it shows that you are in another country

Him: You are stupid

Me: No, but you must think I am

Him: How?

Me: I am a very active member of a large IM forum. Did you really think that I would fall for this? I have forwarded our whole conversation, as well as your fake email to the FBI and international agencies.....

I haven't heard a peep from him since :D
 
lol nice one nfl. I would of asked him to tell him to turn his speakers on loud and send him to a screamer shock site. that would of scared the crap outta him
 
This was kind of suspenseful for me. I got to the part when he said, "How do I do that?" and I was thinking,"Oh crap, he's falling for it!" Lol. I love watching you guys mess with the scammers. I've heard about the Nigerian scammers a lot from selling on eBay but luckily I've never dealt with one.
