Okay good people on here,

Thoughts on using these types of licences for themes and plug ins?

From sites such as;

https://wpspring.com/products/wordpress-seo-premium-plugin-by-yoast/

https://www.gplguru.com/product/wordpress-seo-by-yoast-the-premium-plugin/

https://www.gplvault.com/

Advantages I can see;

These will save a ton of money.
There's no risk of malware or anything from hacked/cracked stuff.

Disadvantages;
No support as such from developer.

Looking for peoples input please.

Wow not a single comment....

These are membership offers and not one time fee. It's good for people who don't want to customize their theme by choosing a diferent one for each websitre/Niche they launch. A ton of plugins is good if you don't feel confortable with code.

I'm a little bit confused with the gplvault offers because we can download for free premium plugins coming from other dev companies...I never heard about them before. If someone try their membership, let's share your feedback !

tbh 9.99 for sooo much stuff right at your hands with the guarantee that it's all malware free is amazing

This is the issue here.

How can you tell that they are 100% clean and free of malware etc?

and are they safe to use e.g. gplvault is a new domain set up only 3 weeks ago

The PHP of every plugin and theme for WordPress is licensed under the GPL.

Buying the plugins cheaper is no different than getting them from a "null" website. If they distribute anything other than the PHP then it's a breach of copyright.

As you said, it's likely safer than not paying, but you won't get support from the developers.

If you like a plugin, support the developers and buy it. Otherwise, might as well not pay for it at all, as these sites likely don't give any of the profits to the original devs.

Thankyou for your comment.
I agree about supporting devs, but like to try things out first before buying.

Question is, how or where can we test if the code has been interfered with?

My thinking here is it's similar to when you used to sell computers and there was the OEM software supplied.
Basically I think how this works is it's the original product, on a generic licence. However as I am not more than 80% sure, decided to ask.

A lot of people use yoast personally I've used all in one seo and its been good for me they have a handful of free stuff. I liked it better than yoast

Then again I'm a complete noob when it comes to actual seo so don't take my word to heart

are they safe to use?

i was about to buy those, before that i taught i should search on bhw about this and found only one thread about gpl guru
