We've got good news for site owners who are frequent users of the Top search queries feature in Webmaster Tools: we?re now providing more detailed data for each individual search query.

This is amazing, I can see keywords I had no idea i was ranked for and know which are the best ones. That means that you can tweak your site to target the best ones, or if you have several sites in the same niche you can tweak them to target a specific good keyword each and get rid of the lousy ones.

Loving it...

Yeah. It makes it a lot easier to see which words you can work on for the largest gain. It also highlights the different CTR for the different position you sit on the page. I have also found the the impressions are actually quite close to what the keyword tool claims.

Thank you! This is very kind to do all of this for free. Excellent work!

Have a blessed one...

Cool, I forget sometimes to go back and check my sites in webmaster tools. Great reminder for me and good to know it's providing even better info. But now I'm going to have to do some work, I'll be back later after I go check on each of my domains. LOL

THey sure are. Checked with one of my most popular sites and they are excellent stats

Amazing then! Thats a great news!

I might start to follow up Google's blog to discover great features like that.

Just wondering, what exactly "Impression means"

I got 45,000 impressions for a keyword that I am ranked in the 3rd page.

1. Does that means that 45,000 persons reached the 3rd page for that particular keyword?

2. Does that means that I would have gotten WAY more than 45k impressions if I were on first page?

these are really great stats, but like google analytics data they look like they can be +/- 15% in terms of accuracy :/

Yep, just noticed this today, great stuff, the graph showing the impressions is helpful as well to see how your progressing from day to day.

Looks really useful, i was thinking if I found a keyword that the tool says I'm currently on page 2 for, I could work on that keyword page and try to get it moved up... but I'm not sure I understand what I'm seeing, can anyone help?

For instance, the tool shows this:

Query Impressions Clickthrough % Clickthrough
my keyword
12,100 320 3%
Position in search results
1 <10 <10 -
2 <10 <10 -
3 5 <10 -
4 46 <10 -
5 22 <10 -

... so I thought if I did a google search I'd find my site in position 3,4 or 5 ... but it wasn't anywhere to be found :)

Can anyone explain how to read these stats? I know I'm probably being dumb :(

Loving it! Not only you can sort by average position, I will definitely use the star feature to track important keywords.

Just found out my top keyword searched for my car related website is "retard" to some post about retarded license plate picture. To get more traffic I could work on this "retard" of a keyword.

Loving it!
