This needs to stop! (Engagement Groups)

Hey guys,

I know this has been said before but I feel like it needs to be said again.

I was looking at the front page of the instagram section of BHW just then and 11/21 of the posts were about engagement groups! That's over half of all the posts on the front page of the IG section! I don't have a problem with people joining engagement groups and trying to grow, although when people constantly make new engagement groups and then give up on them after a week, that's quite frustrating!

If you are going to create an engagement group please join an established engagement group so you understand what you have to do and don't just give up within a week!

This section had a lot of valuable information in it previously, but now it is filled with engagement groups that I sometimes don't even bother to go on it.

Not sure if you guys agree with what I'm saying, and I'm just a bit salty about this atm

Group everywhere lol even though I'm new and I still don't know what these groups are about?
 
Ppl learn the tips and tricks then leave the group go on there own

Wasting the whole concept of haveing any group posts


Maybe there needs to be group rules for bhw posts
 
I said before, a section for engagement groups would be great.

But having said that, engagement groups are a very popular and effective tool for Instagram growth, it's no surprise that half the posts in the Insta section is about them.

If you want other content to be on the front page, post other content, comment on other threads, get some discussions going and share something valuable.
 
Managing an engagement group is tough, especially without a proper bot.
 
Engagement Groups should have their own section. It is more than annoying.
 
Wouldn't it be a good idea to make a post "Engagement Groups - Overview" as a sticky and list Enagement Groups for "every" niche with the invitation link?

Basically the people in the group like your pics and you do the same for theirs. It helps you grow and gives you a higher chance of getting on the explore page
 
I think there should be no more than a few threads for these types of groups. The rest should be focused on monetization and growth imo.
 
Do you know if there is currently a large active engagement group for email marketers? I would love to join it
 
I also think an engagement group would be really awesome specially for this section.
 
You're wasting your time bro, people don't give a fuck about what you think of this section, and they will continue to create more and more dead engagement groups. That's a pity...

Unfortunately that's true
 
Agreed - I have only been a member for a month and already I'm annoyed and have stopped coming back to the site. Almost half of all the posts are engagement groups. I'd recommend that a mod try to come up with a better solution - sticky/separate group would be great.
 
And for what it's worth I've commented/applied for probably 15+ now and not one has even contacted me. They all seem to be dead.
