I need some barcode stickers to put on flyers so when the flyers are scanned, it sends a notification to an email or cell number of a specific person. Has anyone heard of this method? may be you need some push notification system, not sure, or may be look with IFTTT, is free may be is possible to do something like that, where an email get sent when you do an action, may be scan a bit.ly link, QR code or something like that.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I would need to have an individual sticker code for every member of the team. So if i recruit 100 people, that would be 100 individual qr codes for everyone. So an individual will have 100 flyers all with the same unique code so when its scanned, they get the credit for the sale and an instant notification of their commision. The instant notification is key to keep them motivated and hungry.

Im gonna research the suggestions but if i can do this without third party the better. I guess i can just scan with my phone and send the text manually to salesperson but it will be too much work eventually.

well now is more complicated may be you need a kind of affiliate system then, that track also the commissions, may be if you have a domain,adding a folder say with the name of the affiliate, then create the qr code sticker, for it, then some way that when you scan the code, an email get sent, but also the customer with the flyer could scan, it, may be you need something more dedicated

There are a lot of cheap/free POS (Point Of Sale) systems out there. While it's mostly for transactions, most have a system set up for tracking marketing. I'm not sure what industry you're in, but oftentimes these people want to do as little work as possible so you need to make it as easy it is for them - ie. will someone sit there are write their name/code on 100 flyers? Probably not - they'll want to pick up and start handing out immediately.

So, you'll need a system that will:

1) Be easy for you to print/generate unique codes (in bulk) as you bring on new people.
2) Be easy for you to input and track easily with reporting features
3) Like you said, a push notification system that will keep them motivated.
