It must be difficult offering a service on BHW, where people undercut you and buyers buy from them. It could be a lack of education on the part of guest post sellers though. What is the actual cost of a guest post (i mean who really has the answer to this) ? What makes your offering so unique? How organised are you and can you demonstrate your level of authenticity?
If you're competion is using poor technique in whatever area, where you don't how do people know that? Do you update your sales thread regualrly with that information? Do you regualrly post insights or techniques related to guest posts and seo management?
I'm on a mission to get everyone to dump their crappy ai blogs, in the favour of something they feel passionaite about. (Lets face it nobody feels passionaite about updating a blog that litterally hardly moves in terms of traffic, interactivity, and development)
Everytime i read about people starting blogs with 10 posts, and expecting traffic and millions of visitors in their first month, of their "unique ai blog about Labrador dog care", or if they should start in the first place. I take my industry knoweldge, which confirms that people are moving away from "anonymous blog experts" and prefering the interactive experiance with chat bots.
No point in posting once every 6 months "Hey the market is shit, cause of scammers" What are you doing in between all the time to educate your potential clients. People don't just come on BHW day 1 and buy a guest post from someone or not. There is careful planning and consideration that goes into it.
I don't read the HAF and WTB too much, but if thats where you posting all the time, then you missing the general forum traffic, and the quality of your content, name, and signature.
TLDR
More quality posts on the benefits and considerations that people are asking about in general with regards to guest posts by experts, to guide potential buyers on the forum would be welcome by everyone here.
