This Medium post is ranking for over 100 keywords

hello guys, analayzing kw stuff on ahrefs i found out that this medium post is ranking for over 100 kws and most of them are not even in the whole text, do you know how is it possible this?

for example:wsj paywall ,paywall bypass ,washington post paywall , and many more doesnt appear, are thhese about lsi keywords, do youknow anytinh about this?

Parasite. Read about this. There are plenty of guides here. It is very common practice.
 
You don't need exact keyword phrase present in order to rank for it. Search engines can make the connection.

For example, "washington post" and "paywall" are both present. You don't need "washington post paywall" present to rank.

Medium's huge authority doesn't hurt either ;)

I know this about parassite, but my question Is why and how It can rank even keywords Arent even inside the text, my question Is more about its on Page seo optimization

Cool, Is there any way or guide to learn properly about this way to use keyword? I Always focused more static keywords

Try on-page guides on this forum, that's a good start for sure.

Nowadays, you don't even need to have a keyword mentioned in your article in order to rank for it. The search engines will look at relevance. It will send visitors to your article based on the relevancy of your article and searcher intent. Keyword stuffing is now a thing of the past. The trick is just to have "honestly" good content.

I personally have many keywords that i rank for, that i have never even mentioned in my site. But it is in a related niche, so the info is relevant to the searchers.
 
@alesiox94 It's called semantic searches. "backpacks that are slim" will also rank for "thin backpacks", maybe even "narrow backpacks", and other synonyms/related searches even if the synonyms are not mentioned inside the content. This is why keyword density is bullshit, you can just rank for shit writing naturally and using your keyword in the title and H1.
 
Already checked but i cannot find a guide about this way to use kw

Thanks, so i should use keyword for h1,h2, immage tittle and the text more about readbility and semantic searchers right?

My question Is more about how It can ranks for keyword arent insieme the text?
