The TV spot made by Leo Burnett London prompted McDonald's to apologize.

Many found it offensive, to which the hamburger chain said in an email statement,
"We apologise for any upset this advert has caused. This was by no means an intention of ours."

OK...I don't even understand what that had to do with McD's. So his dead dad liked their fish sandwich. Plenty of living people like it too.

That ad sucks. I'm offended that they spent money making it. It certainly doesn't make me want to eat there.

What's offensive about it? And how?
So a mother tells a son that his dad liked the same crap food as him.
I don't even understand what part is supposed to be offensive?

It's like the nutters who wanted to ban womens nipples being shown in newspapers. They said it was offensive.
To whom and how?

If a woman wants to show people her nipples, and people want to look at them, what's the problem?
If you don't like nipples, or are offended by them, then don't look at them.
But also mind your own business and don't try to stop other people.

And if you don't like kids with small hands and scruffy shoes who are crap at football and can't get a girlfriend liking the same crap food as their dead dad, then don't watch the advert and maybe get a life while you're at it.
