Automatic comment posting is shit now a days anyway. Maybe good for backlink indexing but otherwise, waste of time.
I generally drop links on high pr pages. And no, I just don't spam there. I quick-read the article and write a personal response. It really doesn't take that much time anyway, you just have to use good footprints and prefilter the list so you know your link will be good. Including do follow, high pr etc checks. And your link will be on a high PR page alone, without other spammers and you won't feel bad when someone thinks he/she got a real response (yes, there is actual internet apart from just marketing - to relate, if your gf's innocent, non-money blog got a response and she happily spend time to answer to that comment and turns out it was your spam comment, would you feel bad?)
