Ok so when i do a search for my main keyword on google, if i'm signed into my gmail account, my website shows up on page 3, if i'm not signed into any account my website is the number 2 listing on page 1.

Which one is an accurate representation of my rankings?

The one when you're signed out. Google is personalizing the results for your account based on your previous search history.

you might want to see how google has your results in various countries
In FF, theres a plugin Google Global, use it .. you can see variations
(ex on page 3 in US but on page 1 in canada)
Depending upon your product / service, can def use this to your advantage

Its crazy, but google likes to think the user has a totally personalised experience, thus making you look rank better. A false economy, designed to fool us

Use the google ad preview tool to see where you stand. Or use a rank checker tool like market samuari and you will not get personalized results.

It is however odd that you rank higher when signed out rather than signed in as it is usually the other way around.
