This is what I've done so far. Give me some tips?

Okay so after my previous failure of contacting sites to promote my CPA offers on, I decided I want a site.

I used Google's keyword tool, and found a keyword with 5400 searches monthly, and basicly NO competition. It's a hip hop artist's music. Anyway, I created a blogger site with my keyword as the URL and then edited the HTML to change the meta tags. I uploaded a photo of the artist and changed the photo's text to my keyword and added a sentence with my keyword. That's all I did for on page SEO so far. I'll add content when I rank first page.

Then I created a YT video with a slideshow and backtrack of one of his popular tracks. I added my blogger URL as the description. I then manually created 5-10 backlinks on relevant wiki sites. At the moment I'm using freebacklinktool.info to get 2500 free backlinks.(Wasn't sure about this one, but what have I got to lose? I'm doing this site for experience.)

IF my blogger reaches first page in Google for my keyword, I'll add free downloads to the artists instrumentals. And a few articles with info.(Keywords for articles will also be from Google Keywords.) Then I thought about promoting artist clothing, earphones and albums as an affiliate marketer.

I'm working on what I learnt on this site, so any advice would be appreciated.

I'm just not sure about that 2500 backlinks, I'm making it only 1000. I think Google will "punish" me for having 2500 instantly out of the blue.

Anybody? I just want an indication that I'm on the right path and that whatever I'm doing even remotely wrong, that I can fix it and learn from it.

Okay so guys, first thing I don't understand.

In market Samurai(trial version lol) it says my site is ranked 500+. And i used that free backlinks site to add 1000 backlinks, i created between 5-10 wiki backlinks and a YT backlink. According to Market Samurai my site doesn't have one backlink?

I'm confused! Please someone give me advice.

Just because you made the backlinks doesn't mean they get indexed. If they're live, they'll eventually be found.

They won't show up right away, you have to wait until they are indexed in search engine that MS queries for data, I believe it's Google, not sure though. It can take few days until links show up.
How did you check the competition? Google AdWords Tool shows AdWords competition, that is, competition of advertisers, not a seo/ranking competition.
Also, you have to add content, one sentence with one image is really not enough. Try writting an article, if you know that artist it should be easy enough. You can cover the basic info, just make sure that it'll be unique. Do not copy it, write it or re-write (writing new one is ideal).
Regarding those 2,500 links, the site doesnt say what kind of links it is, but those will hardly benefit your site used like that. If you really want to use them, it would be better to direct them at those wikis you created, to make it multi-tiered.

According to Sourcewave, my keyword has no competition and I made the backlinks like they said. According to them I should be ranking page one in 24 hours.

Fvck this. I don't have months to wait for a site to start gaining traffic and then wait for a few dollars to trickle in. I'll revert to CPA. I need to earn at least 20$ a day to cover the lifestyle I want to live.

I'm posting CL ads. Out of about 5 ads I have two that really got me replies.

I'm trying to get them to sign up to Bidcactus for auction packages. One sign up is $55 commission for me. I only need two of those per few days to really be happy.

I'm in South Africa so 1$ is about 8-9 zar here. So I'll be living happily if I can convert a few of these people.

I've received 20 replies in a hour just from 2 ads. I've only got one click to Bidcactus though, and no conversions. How can I change it/twist it up to try and higher the conversions?

I'll keep at it. If I can at least see one conversion I'll be happy and dedicate a lot more time to it.

Thanks for your advice. Now to go to sleep, tomorrow is a long day.
And hopefully my inbox will be full about the ads so I can try and convert them. I'll update tomorrow.

Update: Just woke up and I've got 22 new emails about the ads.

I don't have time now, but this afternoon I'll reply with something like:

"Hi, sorry it was picked up almost right as the ad was posted! Though, I make a living on Craigslist buying from auctions and selling to Craigslist to make 70% profit! I don't usually tell people my "method" (for lack of a better word.) to make money, but since you just missed my ad I'll help you.

I think that would really pump conversions as it's much easier, honest and just plain straight marketing. The emails i'm replying with are so long and actually seem weird. I'll update on any success.

Heres my suggestions.

1. Move your site off of Blogger and onto your own domain, blogger isn't safe for your money site.
2. Add content to your site, one sentence and a picture isn't enough. Try adding a few articles, find a few news articles about the artist and rewrite them in your own words.
3. Don't blast the 1000 links directly to your money site, you should send them to your Wiki's.

After that, continue adding content and Tier 2/3 links and you should see some progress.

Honestly, this sounds really spammy and I can't imagine anyone falling for it. :/

You seem too impatient. I think providing services is a good option for you as it gives instant cash. You can design logos, make video testimonials or write articles as per your talent and $20 a day will surely come.

I'll keep on trying the CL postings. I really think there's success there. Will see.

I've thought about services but not sure what. I'm not into article writing so that basicly rules out the easy services? Maybe I can sell positive reviews about someone's product or site whatever for 5$?
