This is what I learned from going from hero to zero.

From hundreds of thousands of dollars to a few $$$ in my bank account.

I just read that 17yo guy thread here in BHW and I got inspired, by the people telling him to leave IM because everyone fails, to create this thread about how I went from hero to zero and how I have gone from zero to hero a few times at my 27 years on this Earth.

First of all, when I got started on IM, I found it TOUGH.

I remember that my first IM projects were about movie sites and reuploading adult videos. And man! I couldn't get crap done due to so many adult videos! hahaha!

So, even though I fought that, at some point, my site was getting thousands of daily pageviews from all the videos I uploaded, unfortunately, no conversions my way. Seriously, $0 from that venture!

At this time, you can still find some videos on google if you google "teens99.net" (WITH quotes) and watch some of my videos still indexed from back 2003 haha

What I learned was how to buy domains, how to buy hosting, how to upload stuff, how to design everything, how to embed my site on the videos using FFmpeg through command line on a $5/m Linux machine, how to do everything myself. Even though I made $0.00 USD, I gained skills, skills that later helped me make mad money!

One of my threads:

https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/has-anyone-struggled-on-im-as-long-as-me.641280/

Then time passed, I failed a lot at seo, then I started literally asking questions, getting back to work and as the 80/20 rule says, 80% of my projects failed, but guess what! That 20 % of the projects that succeeded, made me MAD money!

At this point, I was still struggling big time and I decided to start a clash of clans site, with what domain if I didn't have money? Well, I reused this teens99.net domain and used it to create a clash of clans site: https://web.archive.org/web/20150224213526/http://clash-of-clans.teens99.net/

That site alone made me close to $70k in a few months. AWM with @RushingWind and cpalead.

I tried selling them here in bhw, but unfortunately, some haters took it down lol!

So, with that money, I started a HK Company where I met @clark123 and had an awesome time over there haha and when I got back I started taking things more seriously, started businesses that failed.

And by traveling, I spent all my money and was BACK TO SQUARE 1 :D

At this time, I was into other niches and started dealing with insurance leads. This is where I sold my first site for $60k or so(which the deal was going to be for $200k, but the buyer was scared due to the tactics I used on the business haha so I could only get $60k as the "downpayment")

With those projects, I made probably around $150k with the leads and selling the sites.

The first sale of 10k was a domain I, bought back in 2014-15 for $1k (nice ROI :D ) sold last year, but the buyer took almost a year to pay lol!

The other 3 sales were from sites in the insurance and solar niches. That 68k should have been 200k guys! Sheez! lol!

Anyway, so again, the second time with tons of money in my power, I decided to travel and was again living beyond my means. Long story short, I made tons of money with other businesses as well. (around $70k or more) (Can't post pics due to bhw tos)

But in the end, I met a woman and...

https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-i-went-from-zero-to-hero-and-back-to-zero-again-going-back-to-hero-again.1114921/

So, yea, I'm back again at becoming a hero for the third time, but this time, I will become a hero for life and won't let myself go back to zero again!! :)

So, yea, guys, I have made hundreds of thousands of dollars and everything was due to asking questions, WORKING HARD AND SMART, and yea, you can do it.

You learn, build and enhance skills along the way, and that's how you OVERCOME obstacles!

Sure, I would've made a lot more money had I hadn't spent it all on traveling, but hey, I love my memories and the lessons I've learned along the way. So, yea, I got skills, and how to get back again.

Smart work, pays off, guys! Don't let ANYONE tell you you can't do it. Prove them wrong and be humble about your success.

This thread is to motivate everyone that wants to succeed in life!

You will fail, get laughed at, but in the end, you build skills that will make you a KILLING.

"99%" of people fail because they don't build a skill, they just follow methods or orders and that's all they do.

You HAVE to be creative. Build skills and make bank.

So, yea, if you are not where you want to be in life, get back to work, stop partying, stop wasting time and money pursuing bs excuses, but rather, chase excellence. Chase excellence and everything will follow.

If you are getting started on IM, ask around, lots of AWESOME people in here that are ready to help for nothing in return.

If one thing you learn from this thread is that once you achieve success, it doesn't end there, you have to keep pushing or else you go back down as I did.

That's it, guys. I hope this motivates a lot of you to keep hustling and making bank. Yea, it's possible, you but you have to work hard AND SMART.

I'm from Mexico, so yea, the country doesn't matter. (For those that think that I am American).

Let's make 2020 your best year ever!

To be honest unless people experience failure they really don't appreciate success. At least those who have the tenacity to continue can make something of themselves.

Nice share, interesting read.
Absolutely, man. Like, when I went to HK, I really felt great, that I actually EARNED that flight. It wouldn't have been the same if I had millionaire parents and I was in first class, all paid by them. It's that part of the success that is really great.

very inspiring thank you. Failure is part of the game for Internet marketers and for those who are afraid of failure ultimately don't make it as affiliates or online marketers.

Great motivational Thread!

Collecting memories is always a good move. Enjoy life as long as you can.

Failure should serve as strenght to the wise, not a reason to back down or relent.

When it drops, pick it up back again. That's the spirit.

Nice one OP

Inspiring post, love it!
Most of the times people only talk about their successes to brag in front of others.
Talking about your f*ck ups gives, at least to me, so much more value and also makes you more likeable/relatable.

What's the number one advice you have for someone that is starting their Whitehat journey?

Yea, man! Failure makes you tough. MUCH more than success.

LEARN and fail A LOT!

Then ask questions about why you failed, how to make it better and go for it.

Literally, for every 4 failures, I've had 1 success, so it's all in the numbers. Once you learn how things work, you can start being creative, start experimenting, but first you have to learn how things work.

Whitehat or blackhat doesn't matter, though with blackhat you have to be a lot more stealthy hehe.

In general, that's the way. Fail a lot, learn, be creative and succeed.

Also, you have to learn which battles to fight. Say, you won't start trying to rank for "how to lose weight" right away, but you can start with a lot less competition where your efforts will be rewarded and from there, scale.

My mistake was that when I had money, I stopped doing big projects and was spending a lot of money on bs. I could have made big projects, but sometimes you get taken away.

I remember you back from your CPA + YT threads way back in 2012 or 2013. Good read and Good luck to you man!

another problem is people tend to be scared of failing, therefore do not try or not as hard.

Just curious OP which countries did you wasted your money traveling to?? hope they were worth it :p

In my experience at least, blackhat and whitehat earnings are not equal, nor are the costs of entry.

Whitehat has a lot more intial costs than Blackhat, for dang sure.

But I've been trying to bleach my hat, so I guess i'll start during quarantine season

Yea man! Those were the days! Imagine buying tobs of btc back then! Omg!! Haha

Haha well, i traveled a lot here in mexico, basivally went to so many states man! Haha going to casinos to play poker, etc etc etc man! But i visited france and hong kong as well :)

I remember reading your journey, where you drop to zero , trying to get back to at least $10k, than got your domain sold for 10k.
Great journey op, failure is just a part of the journey, we really need to put this in heart when starting to do IM, or other subject.
so now on to your next journey? $1.000,000 ?

Take good care and stay healthy...be safe. Mexico already has over 1000 cases of infected coronavirus cases and nearly 30 has gone from the planet....

Well, to be honest, in my humble opinion, true whitehat can only be achieved when there are no corrupt corporations that go after the small businesses, cough GOOGLE cough.

Unfortunately, it's extremely hard to build a real whitehat project without going a little blackhat when there's someone out there trying to f u over, like in my case with insurance cpa networks. Those fckers paid me 3-5 leads out of every 10 i sent them. I had to play dirty on them so i could turn a profit. Had i gone whitehat with them, i would have lost a TON of money and never turned a profit.

1m is the goal, but 100k is the first goal before 1m hehe :)
