History of video spam in TikTok
2020 - A time when videos of beautiful girls (not real ones) were actively spammed with subsequent invitations to go to the profile and follow the link (register with the affiliate network). The person was leading - the person was earning. Everything was going well, there were a lot of views and accordingly the number of users attracted to the affiliate network. You created an account, posted a video, within 5 hours (the time here may vary, not everyone did) gained a lot of views. It was all good, a lot of people were making good money from it.
The first problems: I don't remember exactly when it was, but the fact is that many people started having problems with the so-called "take-off" of videos, so the number of views dropped accordingly, and, logically, so did the money. I still remember a message from someone who wrote: "Last month my income was $4,000, now it's not much (I don't remember the exact figure)". This message informed me as I realised I wasn't the only one having this problem. But everyone was still trying to squeeze the full amount out of themselves, there were people who were making a lot of money from this type of income.
TikTok is a collector of all the information on your phone. People have started to actively find out what parameters TikTok identifies about our phones. I won't tell you what parameters TikTok detects, because many people already know about it. Shadow ban is the reason why videos do not gain views, i.e. their number is 0. There was also a time when it was possible to use simulators of Android devices Memu, Nox, etc. Now it won't work, although it's possible that someone could learn how to use them for TikTok.
2021 was a time when everything was still working, but already with some problems, TikTok started to "storm", they started to increase the number of moderators, videos started to be actively banned, which affected the number of views. But it seemed to me that the competition had increased, which started to interest TikTok in such profiles. The logic was still the same: create an account, upload a video, insert a link and that was it.
The summer of 2021 came and it started to "storm" and it became much harder to work than it was before, which makes sense to me, because the number of people wishing to earn money using such a method has increased. At the moment, the situation is such that it is very hard for a newcomer to get into TikTok, as now everything is not as easy as it used to be. Earlier, you could put up a video with a beautiful girl and it could get a million views for 1 day, the income could be up to $ 1000, and could be more. Those "Tops" who used to make a lot of money can't have that much anymore, because a lot has changed in TikTok. There are many theories, something has changed in the technical part, the algorithms of showing to users have changed, as it has been highly visible since around September 2021.
Our days. Today many people write that TikTok is dead, but there are still people who make money this way in TikTok, but again, not as many as before. As far as I'm concerned, a large number of people have just killed TikTok with trivial videos, so the demand for them has dropped, they are not interesting for the target audience to watch. Creativity in TikTok is very important, or maybe TikTok has changed its algorithms and learned how to detect and limit the views of such video spam?
