Is there a way to filter out the ping list for duplicates?

Also, is it bad if you have a duplicate URL on your Ping List, does it affect you negatively if you double-ping a site?

I also have a long ping list, and I do use cBnet PING optimizer for safety.

I think having similar ping sites in one list really not that useful as there are chances that the sites may banned your domain simply for sending too many ping requests for same posts.
For instance pingomatic sends pings to many ping sites, and if you also sends ping to individual sites it may cause some problems for your domain.

Filtering your ping server list is also important i guess.
