I've decided to create a new thread showing 2 PrintScreen Shoots of how Google is trowing people off now days:

45 Days upon creating 1 link I was in a worst position than when I sent the link ( https://imgur.com/cNI7WWK ), 2 weeks later I jumped to the first page, this was a exact match anchor from an expired domain, I did wait 60+ days before sending the link from the expired website:

Do expired domains work ? YES if you know how to optimize your website and understand keyword density, otherwise the link won't move you a bit.

Do exact match anchors work ? YES (They always will as long as you are patient enough to pillow and diversify your anchor text profile and patience enough to wait the links to kick in). DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, just check the top ranking for any keyword using ahrefs and you are going to see the exact match anchor in there.

Google is getting to a point where they can't change something without affecting something else, just like a magic cube, this is why they are using "TIME" as a huge factor, age of domain, age of content, age of expired domain, etc... Most people are not patient so they will jump into conclusion saying that SEO is dead, great for us! Google is doing a huge favor for the real SEO guys.

Yes the days of quick ranking are nearly over,
Now and then it will happen, but its getting rarer and rarer
 
Just be ready for those 45 days to turn into 10 years in case of a penalty :) Time factor is real, links still work, SEO isn't even wounded, but penalties are still real, so make sure to take that into account :P
 
It's funny actually how SEO hasn't change in a few years. In principle, the "don't" list is still pretty same.

Keep the velocity down, be patient, let the stuff age, don't leave footprints, have your density and onsite SEO on spot, don't go after too hard keywords and don't screw up your anchor ratios. This is SEO in summary. If you, at the very least, won't screw any of these factors, you have to make money.

if your niche is not against Google and your links are not reported then you are far away from being banned.

Exactly! It is actually funny when I see people going nuts and over complicating things, you can find a lot of good materials online about SEO but most of those materials are sold by people trying to sell there products, something like,"See how Social shares affect your ranking" = You can buy social shares right here (there own product link).

I dont wanna advertise him but Diggnity had similar tests and it was 36 days in his case.

Personally everything that creates a subdomain (deviantart, webs 2.0, profiles with subdomain) or has its own domain (pbn) (subdomains are treated like domains - they have their own backlink profile) i index first along with a lot of content with links to related stuff, then I wait 2 months, then I put link on homepage preferrably to moneysite.


in case of profiles/forums/whatever that doesnt create subdomain you dont have to wait because domain is already indexed and healthy
 
Awesome, yes time appears to play its part these days as Google have tried everything and found not revealing when exactly a link would be taken into account to be the easiest way to demoralize SEOs.

These are two of the most common mistakes I see. A lot of people here are using good links, but going after unrealistic keywords and trying to make up for that fact by dog piling on the anchors too heavily. The results are not pretty.

This is exactly what is happening with my keywords as well.

One day they are on 10th and 50th on the next.

Waiting is cool, good if you have bing, yahoo rankings already :)

Yeah, I did that exactly when i first started... Builded links, didnt wait & kept trying to drown exact anchor matches down googles throat. It was a good learning curve though!
