Is everyone jumping on the referral spam bandwagon now? I see bots from music forums in my GA. This really sucks. Now they've found a way to show up in the keywords section instead of the referral section:

    WTH?!!!

and even an innocent looking music forum is sending referral spam now:

    This is too much...

Referral spam has been around for years. Perhaps one of the oldest forms of SEO Spam out there. Just get used to it. You can also try a solution like Cloud Flare to block bad bots.

If you're doing SEO, you should get used to SPAMs. It's part of the job.

I'm guessing that at least 50% of the WWW's traffic is generated by bots, not people.

Just block in in your .htaccess file - all those sites in your 2nd image show up in virtually every analytics account - block the little fuckers

I see them, I ignore them. I only bother looking at my visitors from Google. They are the only visitors that matter to me anyway.

While true, it was NEVER abused like it has been in recent months. Everyone and their mother is jumping on the bandwagon. From what I can tell though a lot of people have no fucking clue on how to monetize though. Many just redirect me to alibaba's homepage.

darodar is also referral spam that redirects to some Russian shopping site. Just block them and move on. Some script must exist out there because at least that darodar site is doing this on a massive scale.

At least. Makes me wonder how profitable those bots are... what the shit do most of them even do? There are only so many search engines and indexers.

I guess it's really cheap to do it judging by how big they scale it. And you can't block them using htaccess. Some of them go straight to your GA id, without ever visiting your site
