Have some off you been blind to the world? When haven't priorities been about the money? That's what the world runs on. If that'snott your priority then great, don't complain when you don't have any. Otherwise its a priority for you too so dont be a hippocrit. I'm a big believer of there's more to life than just money, and honestly lose alot of money because I have that point of view. BUT that doesn't change the fact that the world runs on money and u need it to get some of the things u need/want.
If everyone that's complaining about the bankers was in their position, you would have done the same things! It's insane how many people don't have the capability to put themselves in other people's shoes and try to feel what they felt. If you had the option to risk someone else money and make 10 million or don't risk their money and make 10,000 , you would make the same choice! They weren't sitting there thinking among themselves " hey bob, what can we do to make people lose jobs and money today". Its not their fault that trust was put onto them blindly out of laziness. If you didn't want to lose money you could have maybe not taken the mortgage you can't afford even if it was offered, or you could have taken your money out of stocks when they started falling, u know the golden 10 or 15 percent rule. If the people weren't just as greedy as the bankers everyone would have taken their money out of the funds after a 10% loss.
Hey I lost 25% in my retirement portfolio as well, but I don't go around blaming others. It's my fault I gambled and didn't react right or fast enough. What happened to personal responsibility. If you got fired, I'm sorry, but that also just means you weren't making yourself valuable enough to society or that particular job. The top producing and most valuable employees did not get fired, I'll tell u that. If you got fired that means they could do without you, in other words, what were u doing for them then?!
Bernie maddoff did something straight up illegal and for that is doing time. All the money in the world didnt save him. I havent read what the protestors did, but if they are in jail I'm sure they did something that's illegal. Whether they were there for a good cause doesn't mean anything. Doing what u can to save a dogs life is a good cause, but I can't kill someone to do it and still expect it to be justified.
Anyways excuse the rant, but after reading so much blind ignorance over the last couple days, I had to find out.

So you think doing the same as them is ok....it is not thats the point and here we had the right to protest unless something has changed.I know it has but wrong is wrong whatever the reason.Money runs the world but morals run me so it is not ok ever imo.

Someone should really blog or vlog something that will wake US people up. Make them realize on what they're currently standing. Some people dont give a d a m n about it but concerned ones and tax-payers do.

I don't think I ever said you need to be a shitty person. I might have a different view on what a shitty person is maybe.
I see it as someone that purposely does bad onto others or EQUALLY AS SHITTY blames others for everything.
The point was that YES you have the right to protest, so protest. But having the right to be naked in the privacy of your own home, doesn't mean you have the right to be naked in time square in public. You have the right to protest within certain bounds, just like any other right it has bounds. Thats because my freedom ends where your's begins.
Nobody said it was OK what they did. Should they have made better decisions? YES. My point is its not ONLY their fault. Its as much fault on the people as it is them. They gave loans they shouldn't have and people took loans they shouldn't have. Its a 'it takes two to tango' ordeal. My problem with the situation is that they are taking ALL the heat from the public, while the public is portrayed as the innocent victim.
When I painted the picture of money DOES run the world, and that most of you would act the same way, it wasn't to say that it is OK. It was to say, get off your high horse and quit pointing fingers. Take responsibility for yourself instead of pointing fingers and pretty soon you will be delighted to see you no longer have to point fingers. If you aren't relying on someone else to do stuff for you, you can't be disappointed in anyone but yourself. Thats a freedom few will ever know.
Myself, and every moderately successful person I personally know has not been affected by this recession. They are doing GREAT. I've had better times, yes, but i don't blame it on the bankers or the recessional. I blame it on myself not finding the right product for the market. My friends on the other hand are doing better than they have ever done. Also, we are talking about legitimate things, not the scams that people run on here, but actual services and products people want and buy.

So I finally looked up why the protesters got arrested. I can't believe its even an argument on here.
Again, they got arrested for blockading traffic NOT for protesting. There are protesters on the corner of a nearby block protesting discount tire because of a labor dispute. They have been there for a long time and I presume have not been bothered. But these arrogant fools in Portland aren't just protesting, they are impeding on thousands of peoples freedoms. I would be very upset if I'm attempting to drive to work, but cant get there because other's are in the street protesting THEIR cause. How is that fair?! Saying they got arrested for protesting is purposely misrepresenting facts.
The difference between the bankers and the protestors is that the bankers made bad judgment calls and could possibly of not meant any harm. Any of the bankers not in jail, most likely didn't break the law. The protesters on the other hand are in blatant disregard of the law and REFUSE direct orders from officers. A direct order from a law enforcement individual is pretty cut and dry on what needs to be done. I can't even imagine the type of disaster these fools would create if they had to make a judgement call that has no black and white area(like the bankers did).
