This is confusing

OK I had a Facebook account for years using only one email address. No phone number no other emails. I forgot my password so I sent the password reset to my email. When I went to Yahoo and tried to log in it said that Yahoo does not recognize my account. My email is simple I'm not misspelling anything and I've even used copy and paste from Facebook to try but Yahoo deleted my account. I read they will do that if you go years without activity or whatever. Anyway I created another Yahoo account and just used the same email I always do and everything went fine. I sent my password recovery to my email and it's not showing up. I checked the spam and for filters and all....I even went to Facebook and said someone hacked my account and Facebook sent me an email and it showed but my security code still isn't showing....I'm lost
