Get a Window AC, install it in a "reversible" window (in the sense that the frame can be easily placed so that the outside becomes inside and vice e verse). Use the cool side on a hot day, use the hot side on a cool day. Problem solved.

Interesting the various replies. About UK weather and it ain't hot etc.
The problem is here (UK) homes are built to deal with cold and wet. So any time the weather is doing something other than that it feels like its 60c+ our road infrastructure (or lack of it) is not able to deal with hot weather or extreme cold - although come to think of it the rain is becoming an issue now as well.
So yes 21c might not be a lot to you guys soaking it up in sun or melting all day long but when 9-10 months of the year its 2-9c it's a nice break and no one can cope with the "heat"

Similar here in Central EU. A day or two ago it was below zero at night. A few days from now it will be 20+ Celsius in the afternoon.
It's not even that weird, because we had 20+ temps in February already. I remember, i was pruning the bushes in shorts and t-shirt and i wasn't cold at all. Normally in February the temperature should be around or below zero here.

I've gotta wait till tuesday for the BBQ... I did do the first cut of the lawn yesterday though, it was meant to be enjoyable, until the dysfunctional strimmer comes out to play. I swear it would be quicker to cut the grass with scissors than it is using a strimmer.Don't tease
