This idiot Stole My Description and all My keywords

I'm here trying to vent right now...

I logged on to YT a few minutes ago and was searching for my video. I'm still #1 for my keywords, but when I got to page 3 I noticed a video that looked like mine, so I clicked it. It was my video along with my entire description I wrote, the keywords and everything was exactly the same. The only thing this fool changed was half the title.

The trip part about it is, the link in his description box goes directly to the publishers website I promote through CB. No affiliate link or anything, So this makes me think its the damn publisher who stole my video.

yeh ive had that happen to me many times. even some users have my tube ids as one of their keywords to. it happens sadly but hey just move to next videos on difrent account etc
 
Thanks Dan, will my video get penalized by G, for duplicate content? I don't think so cause all my comments make my page unique.
 
flag the hell out of it. This happen to me this week.. couple videos, i flagged them about 10 times on different accounts and they were gone within 2 hours.. that will teach them.. good luck gogetta!

Thanks for the advice, I'm doing that right now. I mean stealing videos is one thing, but taking peoples descriptions is just lazy or sabotage.
 
yeh just reword your descs etc. should be fine i think. but yeh flaggin works also...
 
yea no problem, I know how you feel. I flipped out when I realized some people copied my videos that I took time to make unique, and then put a text box over my watermark, i mean come on! I know you can never stop people from doing this but, you can show them not to mess with you.
 
This to has happened to me, hehe. However I really didn't bother, I gotta upload my video every day anyway. :P
 
Yes..the best think to do is to watermark your videos. What I hate is that my unique videos where getting flagged for unknown reason. Comes to find out that my competition was flagging my video so he can move up the ranks. I am not going to resort to a flagging war. Thats why I don't do CL anymore. It's not worth it. I just make new vids and reupload to as many accounts as I can.
 
Yea theres 1 guy doing that to everyones videos and I think he has a flagger also. Becuase I had a couple of my accounts flagged because I cited him for copy right infringement and all my video got pulled off. Hes doing it to everyones videos. Nothing anyone can really do, he seems to have the marketing thing down. Heres his recent video. Honestly I dont really care for the description and tags and crap, but the videos is what pisses me off because hes getting number 1 over night and doing it to everyones video just changing the links in the description. If you want to secure your videos. Post the Links or watermark them with your link. and put if the link in this video and and the description dont match then its a fraud.

Happened to me just today..Stole my video and my tags..WTF:censored:
 
Yeah it's becoming a war on youtube. Just today I noticed the account I had my video and description stolen from was banned. This account was all natural, I didn't automate a thing. I think the guy that stole mine flagged my account.

Dailymotion has been doing pretty good for me lately, I think I'm gonna focus more on them then I have been.

Im getting a flagger made, I dont like people like that. And I will sue his ass. The worst part about it is he thinks his footsteps cant get picked up becuase the moron is still posting his affiliate links in the descriptions.
 
Just watermark your videos! Put an intro at the beginning with your URL in it. Put a credit page at the end with your URL in it, and have a watermark pop up like ever 20-30 seconds throughout the video.

When doing your description put your URL in it at the beginning and also down a little farther.

Then hope they copy your video 1000 times all over youtube.. You will get more traffic then :D They basically will be doing you a favor :D

thats what i would do . Those who copy videos usually uses bots made for that . They just enter keyword and the bots automatically download and re upload videos . So we can benefit from these losers as well .
