This has made my day

Let's see, what did I look like? clean shaven. My body is cleaned everyday. My clothes don't stink. My head is shaved.

It's just everyday for the past 3 weeks I've been going there and bringing in my laptop to use their wifi for an hour or two when I'm not in the library. The hotel I was staying at had shitty wifi. $235 a week and their connection speeds are 0.13 Mbps. I was wasting my money.

Oh, and I would buy their dollar burger, the McDouble, everyday.

Living in a shitty hotel for 30 dollars a night, using McDonalds Wifi everyday for almost a month, and spending only $1 while there
Yeah no wonder the woman gave you all those things, you might as well be homeless with that lifestyle

Still good job, maybe you can scale it up and have people give you money on the street and buy you lunch on a daily basis
I wish people would be kind just for being kind, I hate when they bring up Jesus or religion because of good actions that they themselves are doing, I feel like they are taking self-worth off themselves by saying some magical space being did the good action instead of them.

have you considered the possiblity that he didnt chose to live like that?
this thread has a funny aspect no doubt, but people have to go through all kinds of shit and OP obviously is not is the best spot at the moment.
just because you are in a better position, does not justify talking down on him.

keep it classy

I wasn't trying to talk him down, I just meant that the vibe and appearance he gave out was of someone in need, yet during the thread he doesn't seem to realize this himself, I am glad he was helped, but sometimes you have to realize how you are doing in life in order to go further. You can't think you live like a King when you're eating trash of the street

To all of you wondering whether I'm homeless. Yes, you're right, I am. I'm no longer staying at that hotel. I found a way to live on the streets for now, as I save up money for the winter. Cause I won't be able to sleep outside in the comfortable heat for long. I bought a bus pass, so I basically float around all the Wendys and McDonalds and Taco Bells in the city that have WiFi, whenever the library's not open.

Does the manager at the McDonalds think I'm homeless, you know what? I'll bet they do. Has to be the only explanation. I guess the image of the modern homeless person has changed and they can spot you easily now simply by your patterns. Am I going to care that they think I'm homeless? Right now, I don't have time to care. They haven't come up to me and said "Sir, GTFO" So until then. I only spend a maximum of 2 hours inside there at a time anyway.

Have you ever heard of somebody winning a buying spree at a McDonalds?

Am I going to be offended that this happened to me? No. And I don't have the time to care about that. I enjoyed the meal to the fullest extent, even poured the syrup on (which I knew was hellah bad for the health).

If you're serious, sonicpunk23, I truly commend you.

A great many people expect their dreams to just happen. I'm sure a proportion of those people envision said dreams either arriving by DHL one fine morning, or perhaps being delivered down the chimney by Father Christmas. You, on the other hand, are a rare individual indeed: you go after those dreams, even if it means hopping from one WiFi spot to the next and enduring everything that must be endured in your present circumstances.

I'm rarely impressed. Rarely inspired. But, thanks to you, both happened to me today.

Keep at it, and I wish you all the best.

Oh, I'm serious alright.

Wow, I inspired you? Good to know! Thanks. :)

How come you are homeless dude ?

You are a good writer and you are on a money making forum so you must have some internal drive to succeed ?

This is actually shocking, you seem well-educated and I feel like you shouldn't be homeless (then again I don't know you or how you lived your life thus far, so I can't say for certain).

I can't buy you a house, but I can give you the burning desire to buy one for yourself. Open up a content writing BST or something, and I'm sure if you really needed it I could outsource some writing work to you.

Keep your head up buddy!

That's a very good question. One reason, falling out with my family. Long story short, I decided I needed to go. I just turned 28 and I was still living with them. There's many other reasons, I have social problems, so getting any old customer service job was out of the question, that includes the famous working at McDonalds. When I had turned 20, I had to get a job as a grocery store cashier, and I did it for two years, but it was a horrible experience for me. It sucked my energy both physically and mentally. My energy is important to me. So I stuck to doing this online thing, which has worked for me. I know what potential can be done once I gather my skills. Another reason is time. I never thought I had any in order to do anything worthwhile online, cause I was dealing with family problems. But now with what's happened to me, I have time, sort of, and I realize that I have to also make the time. I know what I want to do, and I know what's going to work for me, I just needed time. Now I have it.

I've considered doing something like that, among many other things to do on BHW. But for the past two months I've been focusing all my time on mturk. Hammering away there, I'm making $15 to $40 a day. Peanuts, I know, but it's immediate money. And it paid for that hotel. Unfortunately, all of that money went to the hotel. But now I can put what I'm making now into good use. I still buy $4 worth of food everyday, paid for the bus pass, paid for a $50/month storage unit to keep my things, the rest I save up.

And thanks for the offer!

I usually do something similiar to what happened to OP every year. I go to Chipotle and order some food and upon checkout I tell the cashier I would like to buy the meals for the next 10 military personnel that comes through. I give the manager $100 and just walk out. Sometimes they have deals for buying a lot of gift cards so when they have that going on I get 15 $10 gift cards for $100 and tell the cashier to give them to each military member, etc...

It's pretty rewarding knowing that you can show appreciation without the whole awkward, "let me buy your lunch" approach.
