This guys scammed my client to renew his domain

He received this email:

How can they do that without getting punished? he paid $254.62 and cannot get his money back?

How are they operating? bulletproof hosting? domain register? payment gateway?

This has been going on for years. I get those emails all of the time. I don't even think what they are doing is illegal in itself. There is a refund page on their site but don't hold out much hope. Maybe if you threaten them with legal action it might help.

Never heard of these guys. I would get in touch with the payment provider and get them money back.

No chance to recover them, unless he do some sort of charge back and all those things.

are you in US? what payment was used?

if in US: complaint to your state AG
payment: pretty much easy to do back charge.
