I remember seeing a 48 hours episode where this smartass white dude was repeatedly robbing banks 1 after another and couldn't be caught. He did a lot of research and found out that 80% of robbers got caught in their cars fleeing from the scene.
So he developed a really sly method to scope out banks, find the perfect time to rob them then get away.
I don't remember exactly what he did. I just know he'd go into the banks with glasses and a hat plus multiple layers of clothing. After he robbed the teller he'd SLOWLY and CALMLY walk outside. He never ran. He'd get behind the bank or a dumpster, change his clothes real quick, then slowly walk to wherever his car was parked. Then he'd get in his car and drive normally, stopping at red lights and everything.
Police were going INSANE trying to catch the guy. He had the method down so well he could have just stopped 1 day and been rich. But greed got the best of him and eventually someone identified him on the news.
Either way. If I was gonna rob a bank that's exactly how I'd do it. Except I'd wear a facial disguise rather than glasses and a hat. I'd get the money, slowly walk out of site, make sure no cameras were around, take off my face, change clothes, then walk a few blocks and go call a cab.
In fact, I think I may do this tomorrow......

Its like the robbers in UK robbed the jewelry store they had put on those facial masks like they do the old guy in jackass or so, they were "disguised" as black guys.
But the best robbery that im aware of today is definitely the diamond robbery at some airport in belgium. The robbers just rant the fence with car while the staff was loading uncut diamonds worth +50 million into plane , parked by, pointed guns at them , took the diamonds and drove away. http://edition.cnn.com/2013/02/19/world/europe/belgium-diamond-heist/
Another nice robbery was done in Stockholm where some ex-military from balkan attacked to local security place where they stored shit ton of cash and escaped with helicopter. Shame that they shot 1 guard dead.
