i have a competitor who is spamming the crap out of my backlinks(backlinks are dropping like flies) and may also be spamming my links/keywords . he has a few unique keywords on his site and in his url.

does anyone have suggestions as to the best way to kick his arse????

sorry, but this is a first for me.

I will do some seo to the site and get close to his position stay there for a while. Today I was ahead of him, and tonight back to the same place I have been to start with on page 2, same as always. In this industry, there is not a lot of traffic. He has a PR 2 and I have a PR 1. He has #2 position on the front page with the most popular keywords.

When I change my site, he always makes changes to his keywords. Almost reminds me of a big blood sucking tick.

He has 800+ BL and today when I was ahead of him I had 500+(no backlink building for a while until this evening). Right now I show 188.

Tomorrow I will be at 40 BL's again. This is crap.

thing is ... G algos can showing strange things ... :) for such short time therms it's hard to say you or him are making something to increase the sites ... just for test if you wanna , I can recommend you to focus for a week or two into building squidos & lens & all other profiles which you can grab to point with them backlinks to your site ...

This isn't the first time I've said this...

Goto Matt Cutt's personal blog. Make fake spam from your competitor. Make it look as offensive as possible.

It works!

And this is 1st time i said this..

Yeah and competitor is here too and does the same.
If you cant outrank somebody without doing it dirty then it means you need to learn more instead of trying 1st positions.

Take the professional high-ground and try to contact your 3/5/10...biggest competitors (not letting them know you reached out to the others), including the person you think is guilty.

Explain that you're seeing some strange negative activity (keep it vague) associated with your site and you're assuming that since they're your biggest competitors that you have no choice but to assume it's them. With that being said, say something to the effect of "while I would rather engage in promoting my own site than trying to get someone elses site penalized, I do have the means to do the latter and would hope that this situation remedies itself so I don't have to resort to such tactics."

Create more sites and dominate the whole page.
Don't just rely on one site. Spread your risk.
Of course this will take time, but don't get hung up on this.
Let him waste his time while you enter other markets.

What do you mean by "spamming your backlinks"?

You can run a report with arelis on your competitor and get a list of all the domains contact emails where my competitor has a link. Then you can fakemail from your competitor insisting they remove the link to their site or they will press legal action.

Just make sure you use a proxy.
