Search for "prosox youtube" and you'll find this guy who found a way to edit ANY video on Youtube.

Just for shits he edited the most viewed video of all time "Despacito".

True but if he had posted his links he'd go to jail. He's most likely behind 20 VPN's and Tor nodes.

The thing to note here is the weak security. People devote their lives to YT and this thing can be wrecked just like that by a 15 YO.

Not necessarily. You can always just edit all the BH crap out there and no one will bat an eye. There are also ways to hide your tracks pretty well on a lot of networks, especially with those who pay through Payoneer/PayPal, which is most. Not legal was, but "safe enough" ways.

Such people are genuinely gifted. Unlike the general population, they see vulnerabilities in everything. Nothing is impossible to them, and they simplify everything before complicating it, to feel and appear smart.
Too bad, they're not very good at monetizing their rare talents because they're always looking for the next vulnerability. It's a game to them.

They are young french guys and it seem they dont realize what they did.
Apparently they find the github account of a vevo programer and were able to access to the private source code of vevo video management software. A password and username of the dashboard was in the code and they change the things like that.

There is nothing genius is such bugs. Most of the time they find them accidentally. There is no authentic method to replicate them.

And no matter how much they hide, If there is big money involved they will be caught.
