I bought a domain name yesterday morning and I installed WordPress and rank math plugin, I didn't even add it to search console yet because I'm not don with the site
The next thing I saw this morning was that Google crawled and indexed almost all the pages last night, this is ridiculous because it's been a pain in the ass to index backlinks and Google indexed a site that I didn't even add to search console yet in just few hours

Did you search it incognito yet? :D
Search it in a different browser or another computer you've never login to any of those Google properties. I know what I am saying. Lol

I did, I also checked with cache:mysiteurl, it got indexed last night

I see.
Then that makes sense, you got your on-page SEO done right. Congrats.
Now I will start building quality links to your page and rank for LSI keywords if I were you. Brand name should ideally carry 80 of the link profile to remain an authority so it ranks related terms you didn't even think about.

You got your site indexed when most users are stufgling to get their indexed lol. Also you should have added no index tag and removed them later

Yes, I was thinking since it's not been added to search console, Google shouldn't locate it yet
 
It's pretty common, new domains are listed in certain monitoring sites nearly as soon as they are registered, and google crawls those sites frequently meaning, your site will be crawled as soon as they appear.
It happened to me 1 year ago something weirder: a guy registered similar names like my domain like 1 hour after i registered my domain, after that he took all the facebook names for the domain and asked me for a collaboration.

Privacy and domains are not something that go hand in hand

Maybe it is an expired domain then Google saw it is alive again and indexed it...
 
Last month, this is also happening with one of my new sites.

That is yet another evidence validating that DA is a crap factor.

I think you did something that Most of us miss (Not Me)
Many will Benefit from your post after following the same what you did.
But installing GSC before making it indexed is still the most appropriate approach.
 
Nowdays the first thing you do before you register a new domain is to check it with archive machine and a backlink checker especially if the domajn name is to good to be true. OP got lucky....I know people that worked 1 year on a website and relized they did it on a penalized domain name after they released it.
 
Same with a site of mine. Did not add it to console, but forgot to noindex it. Next thing... Google bot decides to crawl my site. Cmon google, go home you're drunk.

I bought the domain for something that doesn't require SEO, now I'm going to repurpose it

Told u, same thing has happened to me before. :)
 
Many of the website pages that got indexed has appeared on Google news, turns out it's been approved for Google news before
 
Reading the thread, you got lucky!

But yeah, Google can be ridiculous. I've had sites indexed within a day or two without doing anything for SEO except a few internal links and pinging Google with the sitemap. Then I've waited weeks for sites I've actually put some work into.
 
You got double lucky.

You got a domain with some good links.

And Google indexed your website just after launching.
