Facebook Notification Method...
Minutes ago I was tagged in a comment under a Facebook Page shared post.
The post is actually a link shared on the Page's event.
There are probably thousands of other tagged users by a single account.

Apparently, the shared link (which was removed) is a phishing site but the spammer account is still active.
However, I think if its done right, it can be used to drive decent traffic to targetted users.

Any one knows how to duplicate this method?
Obviously an automated tool, but which one can do this?
Plus how can you accomplish such amount to tags without Facebook intervening?

I've seen this used before, but generally requires each account used for the tagging to have a lot of targeted friends. things get marked as spam very quickly because people tagged start to recognize the accounts as spam accounts esp if they get tagged a few times.

to do it well, you need a LOT of accounts tagging a random small set of friends each time, but if you had an army of accounts you could probably do more with them than just tag.

I guess it depends on how much traffic is meaningful for you. if you need a splash of 100-1000 clicks and are okay with accounts getting suspended, this will likely work really well, but for 10k clicks a day, I think this method will be very difficult
 
If you can somehow PM me the link that was used here and the post link as well - I can try and reverse engineer this and report back.
Didn't have luck manually searching the person/event though.

Doesn't have to be, if you type @somename it will show you results of people that are not in your list.

However this method is old and like the #hashtag method will get your ass banned fast.

The person was on my friend list. However, non-friends have tagged me in post before.
