Yes, probably for the better, get paid out in EUR's, shop/pay online in $'s

Luckily being from the UK I have exactly the opposite problem

I'm sure with a bit of creativity you could claw that 25% back.

That may be the case however, I get you pay for all your services in $... so how much extra are they costing you?
