Its obvious you could make way less money online and still be considered wealthy since getting paid is mostly USD. Whats it like to be wealthy in a third world country.

I'm in SEA. Things are like shit here man. All jobs are either pay pennies or you have to be super good to compete thousands better man for a well-paid job. Our political system is so fucked up so that if you don't have any connections with high people you're pretty fucked.

How hard is it to make a livable daily income there? And if you don't mind me asking what do you class as a livable income?

Minimum wage in my country is around 200$ a month. You can live with this income if you are alone. If you can make $xxxx a month it is considered wealthy.

500$ is consider a liveable income in my country. Hell it's kind of dream salary to be honest. What a dickhead country.

Globalization fucked everything up for what was previously "third world" countries.

A Big Mac in Mexico or Brazil costs more than in London or NYC.

But in the early 90's it was great to have some greenbacks while traveling in 3rd world, you were king. Not anymore. Now with the internet and globalization the taxi driver in Marrakesh charges the same as yellow cab in NY.

Minimum of 200$ a month... and that's gross income :):)

With the internet and remote work opportunities nowadays you can't complain if you're getting a shit salary. Just get some online education and start going up the ladder. An entry-level but decent programmer can easily make 500$ a month with just few days of work monthly and if you've got some decent skills 1K$ is easy. Don't complain start educating yourself.

I'm in Thailand.. Avg income for Thais is under 500 bucks, though there are many making significantly less and others making significantly more. I know foreigners here who live off 500 bucks but that involves seriously skimping on luxuries.

Hello there, i guess i can tell you what it is like from my country (Philippines). A $300 usd = 15000 php is considered quite a lot here. Take that into account when hiring freelancers from the philippines, but of course, the pay will be determined by the task at hand. (I ask you to be a little generous when it comes to this haha). Internet speed here is about 10-50 mbps avg. I work with 100 mbps

From this stand-point, a lot of Filipinos would go to internet marketing as an income source if they actually knew how rewarding going in this industry for 3rd worlders. I think one of the problems here is that there are a lot of smart people, but the dumb ones exceed that. Why else would this country vote an extra judicial killer? Average IQ here is very low but the freelancers here are quite smart and hard-working. I mean how did they find freelancing and internet marketing if they are not intelligent, right?

Earning USD is actually my personal goal as it would potentially give people living here a lot of freedom and a comfortable lifestyle. This is coming from
a higher middle class college grad.

Also it can be hard to invest financial resource into internet marketing for the majority of people here as the avg. income of each citizen is $200 per month.

PS: Earning $1000 usd, you can actually do anything you want (as long as you dont have anyone to support)

It really depends upon which part of the country you live and not necessarily which country you live.

For eg, my friend earns $5000 a month but lives in an area where he is surrounded by richer guys. He invested all his savings to get a home in that area. Now, he feels poor most of the time. That being said, the average pay in my country is $200 to $400 dollars.

Not easy. I'm an expat in the Philippines. Took my girlfriend months to find an online job for $800 per month and she's got a degree from the best university in the country and 5 years experience working for an American bank.
As someone said though you can live really well for $1000 or so, $2000 a month and you can get a big house, maids and go on (local ish) holidays whenever you like.
The outlook is different here though, I'm friends with quite a few locals earning $200-$300 a month and they all seem very happy, they have a different outlook on life and don't let themselves get stressed with anything. They have this phrase "Bahala na" which basically means 'what will be will be', if they can't change something then they literally don't think about it.
Aslong as they have a shack and a bag of rice most are happier than westerners.
