Thinking of starting an affiliate program and need some advice

Hi guys,

I've made a website for my girl /she is a freelancing architect and 3d artist/ and need some advice. The site is about floor plan design (2D and 3D) and she offers affordable online floor plan design services to real estate agents, contractors and individuals. My idea is to start an affiliate program so that others can refer potential clients, but I have no experience running one. I guess it will require a lot of dedication to keep your affiliates happy, pay them on time, provide marketing materials and so on. Are there any affiliate program managers and companies that I can work with or it is better to install some good affiliate management wordpress plugin and run it myself? What are the best ways to find affiliates? Is it a good idea to start an affiliate program at all?

It's a cheap way to market your site and get work done for you by more expert SEOs.

On the other hand it requires lots of support, you'll need to manage affiliates and pay them on time because if you screw that up, expert SEOs will get your affiliate program and yoru website turned into dust in a minute....
