Thinking of buying UBOT

I hear people say that Ubot has the smallest learning curve, but that zeno is the most powerful. Ive only ever used Ubot, and I think Ubot was pretty easy to learn if you have an understanding of Loops and If statements you are pretty much golden. You cannot compile files with Zeno though, so there is no selling your bots with Zeno. I personally would wait though to see if Ubot fixes the problems it is having though, because I dont see how you could sell a compiled bot right now anyway with the issues Ubot is having, without the customer being upset with you. Honestly Im still in my 30 day guarentee with Ubot (about 20 days in) and im seriously considering excizing my right to a refund because of the issues... (Read Above)

I have no programming experience at all. My only experience w/ bots was creating a craigslist poster w/ macroexpress years ago before posting got difficult.

I want to creat a simple scraper for sites like yellowbook/merchantcircle to harvest name/address/tel# and export to CSV. If it works, I have a warm market that I could sell it to, but selling a .exe is secondary....I want the bot for my own use.

I'm sure I can come up with many other simple uses for a bot creator.

Would UBOT or Zenno be better for me for the initial scraper solution (considering my lack of programming skill and the simple nature of the bot I want to create).

Any feedback appreciated from experienced users.

Thanks, I'll keep checking status on UBOT's reliability and go from there.

yes, thats definitely the biggest issue. Also note the post about using .net, I found this post very interesting myself, and really a much better idea

I read 50% of the posts here
And I would say 50% of the problems talked about look like user error to me
And 50% are ubot problems that the users have not been able to manage within the script
I posted a small video clip today on the ubot forum of ubot multi threading runing 20 threads
And intend to put the script on sell in the new year its a pligg poster and it works well
But yes ubot still has a few problems that you have to manage them or you will crash the browser when multi threading, reading and writing to csv files also needs managing, along with the proxy changing. but that's it if you have the skills to manage them you should be fine

I've have had a real love hate relationship with ubot for about 2 years and when it really sucks I told them so on the forum which did little for me, but I tend to say it the way it is

I've contacted support about all the issues I've had, they agreed its ubot not me. They say its related to issues with their browser and they are working on it but no fix...

Zennoposter really blew Ubot 3 out of the water, but ubot 4 has really stepped there game up and continues to do so. I have both and I used to vouch for zenno, but now I gotta say ubot 4 is a notch above the current zenno. But zenno 4 comes out soon, so we'll see how that goes
